DC Design's Hyundai Elantra

The 2010 Fludic Elantra as we know was one of the best designs by Hyundai in the recent time. Now, DC Designs who are popularly known to add more heft and glam have come up with a rather Weird and Wacky Design for the Beautiful Elantra.

IMHO, the use of subtle carbon fiber on the Door Panel and the alloys is the only mod to look out for, the red rather looks like a lipstick mark on the front grille. It is also worthy to mention the debadged rear design.

Although, it looks more like a rendering, here are some Pictures of the same :

re: DC Design's Hyundai Elantra

The amount of red used in the interiors is just too much. If i sat in it for long i'd go blind. What was DC thinking when he was designing the front end? It looks hideous and funny.

The only saving grave for me are the alloys.

Though, the rear does look good especially those twin exhausts integrated in the bumper. However, I would prefer it be all black.

re: DC Design's Hyundai Elantra

Utterly stupid looking. It looks so random and non congruent. Exact opposite of what Hyundai intended - Fluidic Design.

The alloys are the only thing worth saving on that car. Whats with the bulbous DC sign on the running board?

Looks RIDICULOUS!

re: DC Design's Hyundai Elantra

I believe the new Elantra is one of the best looking cars in the market right now. I did not like this mod job by DC. Just look at it up close, the bright red color is used just to hide the little amount of effort put into this.

Give me a stock Elantra any given day, i'd rather spend the money on aftermarket suspension and getting more horses out of that CRDI engine.

I am sure Autopsyche can do a infinitely better job of tastefully modifying this car.

Exactly my point. The 5 Twin-Spoke's, a little BBS'ish are the only saving grace. Such A beautiful car spoiled by DC!

Wrong combination of colours has ruined a good looking car.
The rear of the cars looks like back of a baboon. The front, well less said the better.

Horrible design, don't know what goes through the mind of the designer while designing such ugly things.

If anything I agree in the world, it is your post here! Word by word.

On another note, I think Hyundai is going a little overboard with its new fluidic designs. Not saying at all that Elantra is not a good looking car, but same styling across all its segments, from Eon to i20 to Verna to Elantra, shows lack of creativity by such a big automaker. Just my thought, one may disagree.

Really, the front red looks like lipstick and kiddish work.
Red looks good till you watch it on computer screen, not in car cabin.

Umm, let's our car is wearing lipstick.

The side looks like cheap graphics and nothing to do with mods.

What
Another watermelon by DC

I hope this is moved to the weird & wacky modifications thread.

If anyone does buy this, I hope DC offers this as a must have accessory:

re: DC Design's Hyundai Elantra

Why does the design make me go everytime i see it? The resemblance to the joker's face couldnt have been unintended for sure. Too much of red color on the insides and the red "design" across the front grill makes it look like those nike sports shoes with red color patterns and red lace. Ride what you wear huh? I bet i have a pair of jockey undies with a great resemblance to this design .

re: DC Design's Hyundai Elantra

Visited this thread with rather high expectations, to see something out of this world and boy I was disappointed!!

I was expecting a 'Elantra' which does not look like Elantra in any possible angle.
This is an example of how someone can ruin cars looks just by making bare minimum changes to the exterior and topping it up with hideous interior colour scheme.

Hats off to DC

Re: DC Design's Hyundai Elantra

No offense guys, but to me the hyundai's latest fludics are already "over" designed and this attempt has made it hideous. This sure is a head turner, but not in a good way though. i dont think we are surprised that yet another from DC, are we? sad that he has made a bad repo for himself.

you said it perfectly AyAn (I wish we were allowed more smilies per post)

This is an excellent example of ruining the design which was so balanced and good as it is and then comes DC with grand ideas and giving it his fine touch.
