You will get the extension pressure hose from karcher. This might work out for you.

I got delivery of the second item, awaiting the first. How I wish I had got the washer before the Ayudha Pooja! :)
So I finally got around to use the new B&D pressure washer last week.
My earlier posts list the experience i went through where the first B&D unit i bought suffered a motor burn out. The executive at Metro had replaced the unit but I had no time to use it owing to busy schedules. I also wanted to buy a longer and better quality hose pipe.
Thanks to the holidays this past week, I got around to buying a 25 meter pipe (more than enough length) for around 500 bucks from a local hardware shop in the neighborhood.
I was skeptical using the washer this time given my prior experience.
Thankfully I faced no issues and I comfortably washed, shampooed and rinsed all vehicles in my garage with the new unit.

Hlo James,recently bought a karcher pressure washer and have not used it till now,but reading opinions about not to use dirt blaster on car body, am a bit confused about how to find the proper pressure lance for cleaning.Any help appreciated by all.Do i need to buy a variable pressure lance from karcher as an add on?

Hello! Ive been using both, the normal lance as well as the dirt blaster on my cars. I just make sure i dont hold the dirt blaster too close to the body. I start from 3 feet away and move closer if the dirt refuses to budge. I use the dirt blaster only for the lower part of the car to get rid of heavy particles that may have been thrown up by the tyres.
I wouldn't want to invest in a vario lance. I can do pretty much the same with the 2 lances provided with the kit although interchanging them every now and then can get cumbersome!

James ,how do you connect the hose to the pressure washer?What type of connecter do you use for connecting the machine to the tap?Here i cant find anything which suits most.Please throw some light on this too.

Strongly advise that you do not use high pressure or high-pressure lance on
any part of your car. It really can do damage.
If dirt refuses to budge, just use a microfibre cloth or soft-bristle brush.

I use a span-on adapter that i picked up from a local hardware store. I managed to get it by fluke. None of my friends managed to source it post that which leads me to believe that not many people stock them. Im sure you'll find one in big hardware stores in metros. You could try searching online.

Thad, thats precisely what i dont want to do. I dont want to use any cloth or brush to dislodge dirt on the body. Using the dirt blaster from a safe distance is fine imo.:)

Is there anything in the manual? There was a strong warning in the manual of my now-dead Bosch.
Why do you not want to use cloth or brush? Is it because of potential damage to the paint? That is certainly why I favour pressure washer for removal of the general abrasive dust layer, but combine that with high pressure and you have a sand blaster!
It is amazing how some marks, or particles of bird crap, etc, seem to resist the spray. It is almost unbelievable! I used to just dislodge them with my finger tip --- bt well away from the spray jet, of course.

Be very careful with the jet, as it can be dangerous, has the potential to cut into your flesh at the max pointed setting.

I actually bought this last month. I thought it would be a cheap product but the quality turned out to be pretty good. It is by no means a pressure washer but it's great for cleaning your car even if it is coated with dirt. The hose has an adjustable nozzle that sprays water either as a gentle shower or as a pressure stream. I think the specification is it can spray up to 40 psi. It's also great because it has a water tank. This is a boon for me because in my apartment complex using a hose pipe to wash cars is banned!
The motor hooks up to the 12V socket in the car. The lengths of the wire and the hose pipe are very decent. I clean my car once a week with this and it works great.
For anyone in the market for one of these, the Bosch AQT 35-12 1500-Watt is coming up on the Amazon daily sale tomorrow at 10. Currently priced at 89xx. Should see a decent drop hopefully.

So during wash you have to keep one of the windows open for the power cord to pass?
