I changed to Bosch on my i20 last year and to be frank its been a disappointment. The OEM wipers lasted 3 full years without a problem and I changed it in the 3rd year just to be safe, not that their efficiency had reduced. Searched some online portals and saw Bosch as one of the options. Changed it and now regret it because of the squeaks and vibrations while wiping

Received the basic Bosch Eco blades from PayTM couple days ago. Received the package in wet, soggy condition, as the courier guy came in rain. Unfortunately, PayTM packing always leaves much to be desired. The package wasn't even covered in plastic. PayTM even sends hard disks in just a poly bag! Luckily, wipers wouldn't be affected by water, and I needed them urgently, so I didn't make a fuss about it.

Installed them yesterday. Found that wipers don't seem to make proper contact with the extre most screen on the passenger side. The previous ones were Hella, and seemed to make better contact. Anyway, they seem to do the job properly. No streaks or anything else to complain about. However, used them for hardly couple minutes, as it didn't really rain yesterday. Hope the performance holds up in varying levels of rain and muck.

Manufacturing date is Aug 2015, so it is last years stock, unfortunately.

For anybody looking what might be the cheapest deal on wipers (net Rs. 280), I wouldn't mind recommending them. Other than the approx 1 inch length where it doesn't make proper contact with the glass on the extreme passenger end, there are no gripes. Can't comment on durability yet, obviously. If cost is similar, Hella is a better option, IMO.

An observation - most of the bigger brands are selling what they call frameless wipers. All of them seem to be selling them double or higher price. Just to give it a try, I had tried GM wiper blades from Snapdeal, couple years ago, which are of the same design (but cheaper). But I found the construction to be possibly inferior to the basic ones that are made of metal. The basic metal ones transmit pressure from the wiper arm to the blade at as many as 6 points along the length of the blade. The frameless ones transmit all the force at just one point. And this force is transmitted to the glass at two points at the extreme ends of the wiper (as they are a flexible arc). So I believe the rubber would grind with much greater force at the extreme ends, and just might result in grinding grit in that area with much greater force, and may micro scratches on the glass. What do you guys think?

FYI to Ford Figo owners

Lathangi has the rear wiper blade at a special price of Rs. 350.00 against the original price of Rs. 700.00

The rear wiper is very difficult to source from after market as the size is 10"

Cheers

Tried Bosch Aerotwins some years ago on my car. They juddered and left streaks. They were taken off, never to be used again. I eventually threw them away. A real disappointment & total waste of money IMHO.

I am sticking to the OEM wipers. They work for years without needing a replacement. The replacement rubber blades are just about Rs 1K a pair. The current blades are about 3 years old will probably be replaced this year.

I just returned from a 1K kms cross-State journey. The OEM wipers were more than up to the task at highway speeds in heavy rain.

Anyone changed the wiper blades of the Swift recently? What is the specific size for this, and any recommended brands? I was about to change them at my recent MASS service station, and the price quoted was Rs. 700. Is this a fair price?

I have changed to Hella Curvo recently say 5 months back and they were 800 for the set (19" & 21").

Honestly speaking not happy with the performance. It leaves streaks when returning from the sweep.

OEM wiper blades are priced as below:

Front: ₹700 for the set (19"& 21")
Rear : ₹ 300 (12")

It is better to buy the OEM ones than the Hella.

I bought Bosch wiper blades in October, 2014. They are working fine so far. Recently, the left wiper blade started to make a little noise. Right one is perfect. But the cost is so less, I will change both.

Size is 19"/21".

I paid Rs.280/- for the set of both blades.

I bought it from a shop in one of the car repair/parts markets in Delhi.

In fact, I bought Bosch wipers for Polo (22"/16") for Rs.270. The set (24"/16") was not available. So two separate wipers in separate packing and total price was Rs.270/-.

.

I recently changed the wiper blades of Swift VXI, 2014 model with 22" and 17" and the size exactly matches with the stock blades that came fitted with the car. So I think this is the correct stock size of second generation Swift (post 2011).
21 and 19 inches are if I'm not wrong of the old Swift (pre 2011).

Went with frameless blades and even mine leaves streaks while coming down.

Cheers !!

Even my Swift 2013 came with 22/17 but never had any problem with 21/19.

BHPian 1100D gave me 2 pair of Bosch's for my Scorpios and they are really working well. Better than OEM. OEM's were ok as well but not as good.

Got NXT GEN blades for the cars and its working well for 300 a pair. Lets see how long they last.

Replaced the wiper link assembly on my Qualis myself today. Had ordered the spare from partsbigboss. Was little difficult in the confined space but with some help from the missus was able to do it in about an hour. Interesting mechanism and the trickiest part was fitting the end onto the wiper motor. Have now ordered replacement wiper arms and Minda 16" wipers too.

Anyone from Mumbai got their wipers changed for Jetta? Locally or ordered online? I have tired 3 local shops till now all of them claimed to have the wiper for the jetta even the size was the same but none could fit my car, There was a size difference in bracket it seems the same happened when i ordered one online from Autofurnish, That din't fit as well and now autofurnish won't even refund the amount i paid even after sending them back their wipers!
