Review: Drop Stop Seat Gap Filler

Hi all,
Thought of posting a sort review of this nifty product I got recently from US. One of the most dirty places in our cars is the gap between seats and the centre console. Food items, drink spills, coins, toll receipts, cell phones, dirt all get trapped in this highly inaccessible place. Even vacuuming is not of much help.So I was happy to see this product in a supermarket aisle. Got two of these and installed in my Polo. Pretty happy with the results so far. It matches with the car interior, fills in the gap nicely and stops most of the items from slipping in to the dreaded gap. No obstruction to the operation of seat belt is to be mentioned specially. Few pictures of the product and the install.

Interesting accessory and pretty useful too. But, isn't this something easily DIY. I mean, you can go to some sofa maker and get a piece of good looking sponge, cut it to the appropriate size and stick it there.
I don;t think this is still available in India, but yeah it is good to have.

Good innovation, but there is no rocket science involved in this.
Any car/motorcycle seat maker will make you one.

Yes the product design is very simple, can be marketed for around 100-200Rs in India. But I doubt local upholstery maker can match the fit and finish of this one. This is made of neoprene which is spill and stain resistant. The link for original one marketed by Walmart.

Good innovation, someone identified a need and made a simple appliance.

It would be very useful in my car, with my daughter chewing away at stuff.

Nice innovation, and a very practical one at that. Was searching on the net, something similar is available on ebay.in but the price is a whooping Inr 2495/- certainly not value for money. A little effort and time, one can get this made at a 10th of this cost and maybe in a colour matching the upholstery. Thanks for sharing the info

What i prefer about the one shown in the 1st post is that little slot for the seat-belt clip. Not only does it provide max coverage, it helps hold the 'device' in place too.
