My '94 Turbocharged B16 Honda Civic

As some of you might recall I had a evo 6 which I found and brought back to life : Link

Unfortunately the oil pump failed and the motor had to deal with the consequences. I didnt have the time to fix the car then (back in 2/2014) and had to part ways from it.

Since then i have been just working on making my 320d look good. Some of you may have seen this before, the infamous "Tron BMW":

Now it looks like this:

With the severe rainfall in our great city the mood has changed on modding the BMW until the monsoon passes and I felt the urge and itch again to buy another project car.

One fine day I took my bmw to AR Motosport for a air filter replacement and talks came about getting into the tuner scene again, luckily Ranjit who is a close friend and owner of AR Motosport had a 1994 civic with a b16 swapped in it for sale. It already is swapped ready to go with wheels, suspension and the car was fully bolted and tuned (N/A). So thinking to myself if this can be the evo's replacement to cure my itch and I made a decision to buy the car from him.

The car wasn't the prettiest looking but it was fun to drive and that sold me on the car. I have been a Honda guy all my life and I know the potential of these little monsters in the right hands. Stay tuned folks. Have big plans for this and have already ordered a lot of parts.

Heres a brief list of things ordered and things to be ordered:
• Set of Bride racing seats
• Wilwood big brake kit
• Poly urethane bushings for suspension components
• Stiffer and solid motor mounts
• Turbonetics turbo kit (arrived 20/6/14 and installed)
• Shifter cables and bushings
• Mishimoto upgraded radiator (installed)
• Front and rear sway bars
• LSD
Gonna focus on the mechanical parts of the car and making it fast and handle good before I do any cosmetic upgrades. Like I said the car isn't the prettiest but I like it that way. Imagine the look of some German car owners when this thing blows past them like they're standing still. Love the sleeper look. Anyways here are some pics.

Enjoy!

Ill keep updating this thread as parts arrive and installs happen. Once it is done I'll have it dyno'ed to see what she puts down.

Stay tuned.

Knowing Ranjit and his expertise in tuning cars, especially the specific civic owned by him. I will say that you have fun with this car, plus the kind of modifications planned and executed by Ranjit, she will be a stonker. Congratulations bro.

Thank you bro and just to update you guys. We are planning to do low comp pistons because the car is running super high comp for the boost we wanna run. Might even build the bottom end fully and should be expecting about 350-400 whp easy

That is a huge turbo, obviously with high spooling RPM. So my question is, will this be a Car meant for Drag racing.

Re: My '94 Turbocharged B16 Honda Civic

Wow, another Japanese tuner car in your garage! Man, you love taking cars from the grave and giving them the appropriate 'boost' they deserve. If your Evo story was anything to go by, this is going to be one very interesting project. I'd love to see this car in person some day and hope to spot you soon...

Please do update this thread time and again (whenever you're not out, enjoying the beast that is )

Just one question, why aren't you using the stock LSD? Or did you box not come with one?

Re: My '94 Turbocharged B16 Honda Civic

Mmmm tasty list there..

As above interested in the LSD set up. Was it a 'bolt on' kit? If not what mods are required to fit it. It will be good to understand the difference it makes in handling.

Good luck for the project.

Did you source the "type r" cams? If yes, are they the CTR or the ITR cams?

Good luck for the project.

Not doing it for handling more for traction and straight line performance. Its ordered hasn't reached mumbai yet to be installed

Re: My '94 Turbocharged B16 Honda Civic

Ok. I meant to ask about straight line handling and how the torque steer is reduced with an LSD.

Anyways. keep us updated. good luck.
