Go right ahead and fit both. If done correctly it may negate the loss caused by the LPG kit and maybe give you a little more.

Hi Viper,
Understand you also do exhausts?
I have an Automech exhaust fitted (complete)but am not that impressed with it. It sounded good initially but now the noise is beginning to get boring. Also, I would like to have the headers chromed instead of the silver paint they come with.
Any suggestions?

Brgds,
SS

Here's a video link for my Maruti Fitted with a Automech Exhaust.

Do check it out.

How many cars are playing the music?

No offence meant, but my friend i have to admit that Automech has not made your car sound that great as it should be. Wait till i upload the video of my 800's exhaust on stock headers. You will be shocked.

Hi nikibusa,
i agree my cars' exhaust doesnt sound that great with the Automech compared to some others i have heard. But that's probably because i had asked the Automech guys to give me a soft sound rather than a loud exhaust note.
The cars' used for long distance journeys rather than short city commutes
and the listening to a loud exhaust for a 10 hour drive would not have been pleasing.
Neverthless as far i am concerned i am happy with sound when i hit the engine @> 3000 RPMs.
:)

Sumeet,

This one is loud as i wanted to experiment with a single muffler.

"Liked", buddy i loved the second one so much i downloaded the .flv file
It's the kind of sound i always dreamt for my car but i guess i ended up with a lesser sounding system.
Anyways cool.

:)

Sumeet. My exhausts are done from SMOKEAGE at worli.. You could give it a try.

Hi,
I have been using Automech for last two years in my zen.
First set that i had was taken by my friend coz he loved the sound, had a nice mild sound to it.

Second setup was also mild when purchased, over couple of months, the darn thing became so loud that my mom would open the garage gates when i would still be taking a turn almost more then quarter km away....i had to dump it......

Currenlty am running on the third setup, which also asked to be extra mild(i knew it would open up),but am in the same soup as the second one,its freaking loud man.........

Unfortunately i didnt know of viper earlier and my next exhaust setup will be from him....

Automech has great service(specially vivek)...prompt and quality work(except that in the coastal areas like where i live, the pipes get corroded in a few months).

Thats my experience with automech.....

Did you only changed the muffler. How much did it cost you?

Yes two mufflers - Center + Rear Can and piping. Costed me 2000.

Does it come with an end can?

Cost is around 8000 including courier to Bangalore without the end can.

If you want loud sound go with the automech muffler. If you want softer one fit an OEM muffler. First I tried using a Diesel Indigo silencer - it was the open straight through glasspack type. It gave good raspiness in the sound but was too irritating.

Finally have fit the Swift petrol's rear muffler - its got good flow & very silent too. Its a tight fit in the Baleno since its longer & cylinderical unlike the Baleno one which is shorter & oval.

Fitting an open muffler to the headers will increase your acceleration, low end torque will go down & mileage will decrease. However with a restrictive muffler your acceleration will decrease slightly, imrpove low-end torque & gas-mileage will improve.

It is not paint but as I said earlier an Aluminum coating. They use fine powdered bits of Aluminum - you can feel the roughness outside when you touch the pipes.
