I cant figure :Frustrati, i have a rpm idle issue where the rpm is never constant , but i doubt if thats the issue. I have a FFE installed with an expansion chamber - don't have an aftermarket filter installed yet.
believe me man i am Suffering !! with the cost of petrol now days !
Hi All
I got a quote of Rs. 14200 delivered at chennai from a local dealer here and if i opted of SS then its Rs. 20300
Doesn't it sound too loud on the pricing for FFE for 2002 OHC 1.5?
Please share your thoughts so i can decide better.
Have ordered a Magnaflow exhaust - 14829 (model no) in stainless steel for my Honda CRV AT (2009). Expecting the installation to happen on thursday. Quoted price to me is 21,000 (without labor). I will get a tiny discount on the day of billing.
Few things I wanted to inquire were....
1. Is the sound going to get a lot louder?
2. Magnaflow and the dealer bringing down the part is claiming a slight performance increase (around 5-10%). Is this true?

The best person for designing a ffe in Delhi is Phil of Speedsport which is located just off the chatarpur road in south delhi |
Do you have any contact details? How much does he charge approximately??
Any recent experience with Automech?
Planning order a replacement muffler from them for my Palio as the current one has rusted and is leaking. Stock costs 17K, Automech contact in BLR is quoting ~5K.
Not looking for performance gains, just want to quieten it down back to stock levels.

Member Frank Mehta had got some exhaust work done for his wife's BRIO sometime back and had come back with positive reviews for their Mumbai branch.

I was looking at upgrading my OHC vtec's exhaut and tried contacting Automech. Their website seems to be offline. Are they still in the business? Are they still doing the awesome job they always did?

Here is someone in 2023 being content with the Automech system!
Long story short, it's been an age old dream to get a full system free flow exhaust system onto my car! And things started taking shape as soon as my 2006 Baleno 1.6L was eliminated of all faults and complaints making her finally ready for the first actual mod!
Super straight forward install and a must have for all your cars IMO!
Full system free flow arrives with 5 pieces for the Baleno 1.6;
1. 4-2 equal length headers
2. 2-1 collector
3. Resonator
4. Mid pipe
5. Tailpipe and Muffler
Got it installed in the next two hours and perfect is an understatement.
100kms later as I write this -
Volume of the exhaust is 3 out of 10 - very quiet, you can enjoy your in car conversation (if you choose to).
Low end has improved - 5th gear at 35kmph up a bridge, without AC! Amazing drivability
Mid range has improved - Builds revs with much ease than stock.
Top end is punchy - atleast in third gear ( haven't had the chance for 4th and 5th gear yet)
Meaning triple-digit speed comes on the dash sooner than you'd expect on a 17 year old maruti. I would say a good 2-4 seconds drop from the stock system.
Mileage - city mileage has improved by 1.5-2.5kmpl as of now under normal drives ofcourse.
And quality of the exhaust is good, read few people mentioning the opposite but I would say its made with good intentions, especially for the price tag! It is a must have for every car if not car driver!
Please watch the video below with HEADPHONES so that you will all know what I'm on about! Phones and laptop speakers can’t play the bass!
