Squeaky noise from the engine

Hey guys

My baleno makes a squeaky noise occasionally when i start the car. This noise persists for about a minute and then dies completely.
Have noticed this noise since the 2nd service was done. Its quite an annoying squeak that you get to hear.Planning to get this checked over the weekend.
Please note : This happens only once in a while and not a regular thing.

Havent noticed any prob's related to this, as in no mileage drop , performance drops nothing at all. I did notice this noise in one of the Wagon R's parked in our company parking also. Dint really get a chance to check with the guy if he knew anything about it.
Will have to take the car to the MUL service center and get it checked.
Any thghts on the same would be really appreciated,as in if there is something i should mention to check when I am at the service center.

Could be the noise of your fan belt slipping. This should not happen so early in the life of the car but then you never know.

Now this is happening to my Wagno R! It is very annoying.

rjstyles, did you figure out what was plaguing your Baleno? Is it a belt problem?

yeah it was the belt. Take it to any MASS and tell them about the problem. They know how to fix it.

I was surprised when I saw this thread and you putting up quite a trivial issue. Then I saw the date and realized this was Riju before all that experience
