U can spray the inside also na....spary paint it.

yes spray painting is fine, but how will you know its still intact after 3 months of use, i would go powder coat way rather but why take all this pain?

No negative effects but after the KnN i find the car to be much smoother and the intake growl is superb ;)

The best thing is to use an aluminium pipe i guess. Should be best suited for cold air intake

aluminum will transfer heat faster ??

Whether to use conical or Stock replacement depends on the design of the intake.If there is some space where U can comfortably place the filter away from hot air and also at a higher level to avoid water splashes,Universal/Conical filter is the way to go. If not, Stock replacement is the best option. This,Im talking with Indian small engined, Non-turbo cars in context.
It is tough to design a CAI for a Swift without risking Water splashes to the filter.
The only way a free-flow filter will do good on a Swift (petrol)is if its a Stock replacement.That way u'll avoid the heat.

On the diesel swift, I think I saw a different air box and it was in a different location.

Got my new Swift VXI a week back. the dealer is offering to put a KnN filter which will cost around 4.5K. Now i am hearing comments from my friends against this as they say it is not advisable to install it in a brand new car. let me know your suggestions please...

I recently went to a dealer for K&N filters for Swift and there was 2 universal filters with him. RC4670 and RX4140, I am confused which one is better for me or if anybody has installed it then comments from that person would be a great help to me.

I think you can install RX4140 in WagonR. I do not think it comes with the pipe. For the pipe you or the installer have to arrange it.

Guys looking for a K&N Performance filter to be fitted to Swift VXi (2006).
Would it be better to go for the cylindrical ones or Conical? Any info on Dealers near Airport Road, Indira Nagar in Bangalore

can some one enlighten on which knn filter would be better for swift(petrol),apart from stock filters ,are there knn typhoon kits available....what would be the approx pricing.

For Swift petrol, its K&N Extreme. It will cost you 5.5K for the filter and another 3K for the pipe, clamp, labor etc.

I am running a BMC Air Filter on an HKS after market end can. The pair is perfect. I am running a smooth 90 on 2nd and 120 on 3rd.
