After-market cabin storage solutions?

Hello friends,

Good evening,

I am Paresh Thakkar from Mumbai, a new member to Team BHP family.

Firstly thanks to all the existing members for it is because of your honest discussions that I developed interest in looking into my vehicles in the right way and understanding my set of wheels better. For new members like me I would say from experience that we are in a good place with great people for healthy honest advise.

I am seeking help on storage (customized door pockets) for my car:

I own a 2009 Hyundai Santro Xing, with aftermarket cng kit from lovato. The car has been a loyal companion for some time. However with marriage and then a baby becoming a part of life, the storage in the car is now a priority and that's where i needed advise and assistance.

My car has only 1 door pocket and that's it (driver side), apart from glove box and below steering cubby hole. So keeping and storing things often becomes a task as boot is eaten up by cng tank. Losing small things amidst trip and co-passengers complaining of not being able to keep nick-knacks around like water bottles and cellphones is becoming a constant music to my ears.

I now feel the need for more door pockets or some kind of small storage solution within the cabin. I have tried with my local accessory shops to no avail. So here i am friends seeking your help. If someone can help me with an accessory shop / guy in Mumbai who can help me with some fittings like aftermarket door pockets / bottle holders it would be a great help.

If you have come across customized door pockets or similar solutions your input is most welcomed. Images are welcomed too.

Thanks in advance,
Paresh.

Welcome to the family Paresh.

A lot of storage solutions are available online.
Search on ebay.com for "backseat storage" and you will get lot of options. Filter "free delivery" as these are shipped from China. Payment via PayPal. Delivery usually takes around 30 days.

You might find the same items on ebay.in but they will be costlier.

If someone should be interested in a DIY, here's the right thread.

Re: After-market cabin storage solutions?

Backseat organiser is a good alternative. Hope you are already using rear parcel tray for keeping small items handy.
On a sidenote, glad that you are looking for convenient storage solutions.
FYI, read this post. Fellow BHPian's car faced rear impact due to driver distraction caused by baby puking in car following him.
Hope your storage choice helps you concentrate on road.

Thanks Sukiwa for sharing this. It is indeed dangerous to have little kids up in front. ( can tell from experience)
