Ok, sorry I posted this on the other Pete's thread too, but today I spoke to Pete, and from their tests, the car wheelspins into 2nd even without powershifting, on somewhere between half and 3/4th throttle.

Hey v1p3r,the wheelspins were not on the NORMAL setting. Those were on the tests with the box on MAX and with a Green Cotton Twister so please dont expect the car to be wheel spinning to glory. This is not a recommended setting on the box though and we prefer the car to run at the normal setting unless you have a intake and exhaust to match which again is not a recommendation for a diesel due to noise etc etc. We do have specific cars that have set ups like these but rare.

In the normal setting itself it is quick but we did not get the chance to time it as we had the car with us only for a few hours. I am not sure about the 9 sec. Will defenitley let you guys know as soon as we get the car again.

Another interesting note I thought you guys should know is the same engine in UK has only 102BHP so I dont know how the Indian version has 110. It does not feel 110 as our 100BHP Accent seemed faster. And in one of the Verna's TV adverts I think they mention 102.3 or something. The 102 BHP car in Europe puts out 122BHP with the box in the normal setting.

Presently anyway we have 2 boxes on customer cars at the normal setting and we should be able to get their feed back in a week or two. Will keep you all posted,

Rgds,

The European Accent (not UK) comes with the same engine as is sold here, which is 110 PS/108.6 BHP. There is another NON-VGT (regular Turbo) versionof the same engine that puts out some 90-91 bhp. In fact almost all their engines are offered in VGT and regular Turbo versions, of which the latter is definitely cheaper. My guess is that Hyundai will revert to the non-VGT version here when they feel some price pressure.

Its the petrol VTVT or whatever thats been detuned from 110bhp abroad to 103 bhp in India.

Googled a bit and found THIS. The petrol is 112 bhp originally.

Sorry! I misunderstood evidently. Anyway, having driven the stock car, and having experience PSI products, I think Advaith Hyundai can expect me sometime soon.

I seriously suggest ppl to put in the pete's only if they have the ABS Braking, or to get the ABS Braking if u are interest in petes in future (even if u arnt, still go for the ABS as the stock power is also very good and can lead to accidents if the power is misused.)
