When you compare the two the XP Micro has a rising cutoff line. This is totally wrong. The cutoff line should be below the center of your lamp line, ie a falling cutoff line. The stock lamps cutoff is near the wheels of the car ahead, the XP micros do the same.
Take a chair and sit next to the parked car so your eyes are at the level of a sedan's driver. Your stock low beam will not blind you, but the XP Micros low will.

XP Micro: Look at the massive difference in output these small micros do :)
Attachment 1597184

Again here you are illuminating far above what you need to illuminate. You should be able to see the ground floor window on the wall in high beam, not the first or second.

Rahul

@Rahul Rao: It is about the alignment of projectors. Refer to post #44 and check my alignment :). Yes, I agree that Warun had aligned XP Micros little higher and he has lowered it now, which is perfect.

Cheers!!

Check the present alignment: XP Micro Cut off is below stock HL cut off in low beam

Beware of Fakes / poor quality Bixenon Fog Projectors!!

I have seen that many local shops have started selling Bixenon Fog Projectors recently. The output is nowhere close to XP Micro and many are getting duped.

Posting an output pic of the fake/poor quality fog projector: ( Customer prefers to remain anonymous)

Look at the output and it is just crap. Also few guys are using Xenon Planet name to sell their low quality fog projectors. I advice everyone to contact Xenon Planet directly on their fb page / website for XP Micro.

What is the "customer" doing with the bixenons in his hand, inside a room aiming at the ceiling?

Yes there is some gap, but it is hardly noticeable from distance :

Found this one in aliexpress. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2Pcs...703932664.html

This may help to fill the gap, if you are ready to live with an additional chrome ornament.

I have checked this out. Also I have seen a pic of S-Cross with this cover after installation of XP Micro. It fills that gap upto 90 percent.

I was just casually checking the output of XP Micro by standing "outside the car". I happened to notice that there are few streaks. I am not sure if it was present before. I checked my previous videos and couldn't find the streaks. Also there's a possibility that I missed them out because those streaks gets masked by stock head light and also not much visible from driver seat (streaks present close to car). I know at least 5 guys who have installed XP Micro in S-Cross and asked them to check for the same. Nobody had this issue. Anyways, these streaks doesn't affect the output and hardly noticeable while driving. I believe in perfection and will get this issue sorted out. Xenon planet has agreed to look into it and suspecting about bulb seating. I will get it checked soon.

Hi, How are the Micros performing now? Have you been able to get the streaks rectified?

There is no issue with performance. The streaks are present very close to the car and not visible from drivers seat. Also, I checked few old videos of mine and concluded that streaks were present from day one. According to Xenon Planet, it's a minor issue and would be rectified by proper bulb seating. I did not get it checked yet.

Check this video shot 2 days back (poor quality though)

Probably checking the cut-off's sharpness for defects and if the cut-off shield is coming back to its original position after a flick to high-beam before installation.

I checked with Xenon Planet regarding the streaks in my XP Micro setup. Bulb seating / new bulbs have not solved the issue. The streaks are still present. The exact problem couldn't be identified and projectors have to be sent to Chandigarh. I don't have stock fog lamps with me right now and would get those from a fellow BHPian as he is using XP Micro. I have shifted to Mysore and I don't have much free time to drive. I will send the XP Micro to Chandigarh and would be running on stock fog lamps for at least a month. I would be free to get the XP Micro installation done in Bangalore only by May 1st week.

Also, I have confirmed that those streaks were present from day 1 by checking old video (shot one day after installation) and I shot a video just now. The streaks are not very prominent from drivers seat and it gets masked by stock headlights.

Video links : Look for the streaks when only XP Micro is on near the right side pillar

I have reverted back to stock fog lamps and waiting for the update regarding my XP Micro. I was using 4300K CN light bulb.

You can contact Shyam Hegde, XP Bangalore team member for the installation.

Just incase, INCASE, you come across better, brighter (if non white more merrier), replacement for the stock D5S, please let me know & if I come across a better performing one, I'll keep you all posted as well.

I'm already tired of the stock 25W output!! My 13 year old WagonR had a better & reliable 130/100 setup & was much brighter than this one :Frustrati

I did try very hard to find a direct replacement for OEM Philips 25W HID system. But, what's available is some Chinese 35W D5S setup. I don't think it would result in any big improvement. S-Cross 1.6 badly needs better lights and I find it very difficult without XP Micro now.
