Auto Cop security system is the fashion in India and i think its good. You will find normal auto cop for around 3k-4K and 5k-7k with sensors. Its readily available with all car stores and dealers. You may also want to have ignition controlled by autocop for extra security.

It also contains 2 remote controls and have lots of features.

I second Max. Have autocop in all my cars. Comes with a three year warranty, and an extremely wide service backup. Great product

However, better get it fitted at a Maruti dealer itself or run the risk of violating your warranty, baecause ou have tampered with the electronics.

bharath,
i also have an autocop sytem fitted.
but i think u cud go for the maruti nippon system as it will be MGA,so nothing will interfere with ur warranty.
also, this will not involve cutting wires or making holes ,wheras an autocop will require holes to drileed to fit the switches .
so i think the MGA Nippon is better

there.. is a cord available for about Rs 150. Its a simple plugin..... u won't need to cut any wires, while fitting Autocops.

Just inquire.. if Autocops.. has... changeable codes.

Hi Folks

Thanks for all your sharing

When u mean AutoCop are u referring to Pirana or Piranha ( whichever) cos in Chennai they are saying Autocop is Piranha.

The dealer also said that they will have to cut wires whereas with Nippon - they dont have to cut wires.

Any suggestions on Silicon - another system which is imported ( Singapore)

Thanks once again

Yes Bharath, I am mean the Piranha. For my Vtec, I got a Honda City kit and didnt need to cut any wires whatsoever. He didnt even open any moulder door panels except for the drivers side.

Anti Theft System - Car Security System

Hi Bharath,
have you got the anti theft fitted?

I have bought a car too. Wants to know about your experience.

I found Autocop better that Maruti Nippon .In my appartment all the cars are fitted with Autocop and whenever a service is required within hours the service engg. always present.

At Maruti workshops when I asked of features of Nippon , their eye***** start rolling.

Maruti Nippon is the best. I also purchased a Baleno LXI 10 days agao and got it fitted with Nippon MGA from the dealer itself. It also has an ignition cut feature.

i second sataya on the maruti nippon !! they have good home service too also its a completely programmable system wherin you can have any feature enabled or disabled!!i think it rocks plus the disadvantage of having what everyone has is that the alarm sounds the same and you cant differentiate between yours and your neighbours this one has 7 sounds that go of one after the other !!! so you're sure its your car alarm!!!! also i keep the locking and unlocking silent you can also silent it through the remote just before opening it helps me get out of my house at night without disturbing any one!!!hehe

Lock/Switching off Maruti Nippon remote

Guys, Is there a way to switch off / lock the Maruti Nippon remote, from unattended interferences while we keeping the remote in pocket?

Thanks

Re: Anti-theft Systems

High end Anti Theft device created by this Auto driver.

All he does is park the rickshaw near the tree and the front wheel is tied
to the tree by running a steel chain and a pad lock is fixed.

Best part is the sparewheel of this auto is in the engine compartment and the compartment is not locked.

One has to remove the wheel nuts and replace it by sparewheel and it
is done, drive away PURRRRRRRRRR.

Re: Anti-theft Systems

Though Anti Theft systems are good but now a days, the thiefs are so smart that they can run away even with the car having Auto Cop or any Key based Anyti Theft system.

Apart from going or Audo Caop or similar solution, also go for Reverse Gear Lock system.

I got it fitted in my logan recently. The product is FortKnox from Minda Automotives and it will cost you approx. Rs. 900 to 1,200/- depending on the location.
