I cant seem 2 find any info on turbo chargers around here ... Anyone here gotten a turbo charger installed on any of their indian machbines

Sorry for digging out a old thread. Aforementioned links about turbo chargers are dead. Has anybody tried turbo charging their cars? Does the FE drop drastically if we do so ? I'm talking about Petrol cars here.

hey skidrock! yes fe would die if you tc your car! but the extent will vary depending on fatcors such as the size of the turbo , the rpm range at which it provides maximum boost,etc.
if you want your tc car to give fe then there are two options
-the boost should be only at high rpm !! this will help you maintain fe in city driving!!

-use a twin turbo wherein one small one is used at lower rpms for that extra boost and low ebd torque and a bigger on which kicks in at higher rpm !!

well if you browse through this forum you will find alot of threads on the topic!! but yes alot of cars in mumbai are tc havent heard of any here in delhi though!!
