Exhaust for zen

I own a 2001 Zen Lxi and have been planning to sell it. But now after looking at the new zen, I am changing my mind. The older zen has the best looks and is gonna face the OHC story. Old is better. Now I'm planning to add a freeflow(the car is bone-stock - suprisingly) and I've heard that teh automech exhaust is good for a mild note. I have also heard some reviews on this. I'm planning a long trip 1st week of nov and am really bugged with the silent note..need some exhaust note to keep me awake . I want something with a mild exhaust roar and under ideal conditions we know that a freeflow will give slightly better FE and torque too. So when i contacted a automech rep over e-mail he suggested i get the header, muffler and pipe all which will cost 6k.. is that the price? Also is the stock muffler on a 2001 mpfi zen that restrictive? Pls review the quality and improvement after the automech exhaust. also what combo is best, full header + bend + muffler?

Also is there any grade of steel thats need to be looked at?

Cheers,
Joel
