Hi folks,

I am looking to buy a car dog seat cover. These are not easily available in India and wherever found are of inferior quality. Requirement is urgent as I am planning to travel with my dogs in new car and well, neither dirty car or "no dogs" are possible.

I recently came across this and recommended it to my friend (drives a City); he got the cheaper one for his lab.

I bought this for my labrador. Been holding to abuse ok since 4-5 months. Only issue is that the headrest ties are spaced a bit wider than my Fiestas headrest so it slacks a bit.

I have two dogs, both medium sized - a husky and a thai bangkaew. These links are for either importing stuff (lead time 45-60 days; I am planning travel in next 15 days) or sedan back seat covers - won't be able to cover my tucson's boot and both rear seats down.

Planning to travel around diwali. ordering from alibaba will take 45-60 days at least. so this is a no go for now.

have got this for my wife's car (Honda City). My car is Tucson and dogs will travel with rear seat down. Hence this one might not be able to cover the entire space.

Looking out for someone traveling from US in next 10 days and can get it for me. so please keep an eye out folks!

While the flaps that come around the headrest are a little flimsy and tore off - have gotten it stitched again.
Also, there is a little slack as the car isn't wide enough for it to fit properly, but it gets the job done.

We recently got a GSD puppy, who is car sick, and also had to undergo a surgery. This has saved the interiors of the A6, Laura from Puke, Urine, etc.
Plus it is easy to wash.

That is surprising because it covered the A6 interiors brilliantly, and I haven't faced any issues in other cars either.

As an option, what about getting the plastic seat covers for your car if someone can stitch a custom cover for it?

I bought this one on Amazon a year ago - have been using for two medium sized (~20kg) indies in a Sonet for multiple trips (>2000km total).

A pure hammock (where the entire weight is suspended) will not have enough space - for large dogs / more than one dog you need to get something with the "rectangular" shape:

The bottom rectangle sits on the seat bench and the vertical panel prevents the dog from falling into the rear seat legroom. In the past few trips I have put a pair of suitcases in the rear legroom space that create a nearly complete flat surface between the two seatbacks.

It should also be possible to get a cutom-made cushion (not inflatable of course) over which the cover can be put.



I have also considered travelling with the back seat folded down to make more room. However, it doesn't work out on the Sonet because the seatback does not fold flat.
