There still are a lot of palio owners on the forums, including me. Do post your queries, will try my best to answer!

Greetings,

I lost left skirt of my S10 no. 294 while driving at high speeds. Car looks aweful from left. I have no idea where I can find the skirt for S10. Please help.

Do you mean the stone guard (i.e. the plastic / fibre part which sits on the frame beneath the doors) or the fender (i.e. the body panel which sits on top of wheel arch)?

Body panels can be sourced from the dealers (you have to get it painted to match the body colour). Be careful about the side indicator - earlier models didn't have indicator on the fender.

Plastic / fibre / rubber parts are harder to find.

Try 99rpm.com - both should be available with them.

BTW, couldn't make out what is no. 294......

It'll be rather difficult to source the skirts now. You can try at various fiat forums and ask in delhi and in cochin. My suggestion to you is since you have one side left, go to any mod shop( you know the ones which rice cars) and ask them to replicate the skirt for the other side in fibreglass, get it painted to canary yellow and you're good to go.

Palio S10 came out in limited numbers, and each one has a serial number 1 to 500, the total number of S10s sold

Greetings,

I think replicating the sideskirt would be the best option.
There's another problem, batter light is on permanently, I think its time to get new alternator. Earlier the battery use to drain as soon as the second fan kickked in traffic driving. Where can I find an alternator which will take full load including the 2nd fan.??please:

You should be able to get the alternator on 99rpm.com
Price might be steep though.

I replaced mine way back in 2009. The GTX had a specific model/output (do not remember now) and the usual alternators for 1.2 were of no use. The stock one was from Magnett Marelli, and the new one, replaced at Fiat A.S.S was Bosch (made in Spain).

Make sure you select the correct one. I will try to dig into my previous posts to find out if I can.

EDIT: Heres the link. A 90 amp alternator will be required. It cost me roughly 10-11k then.

And here's the link to the correct alternator with pricing on 99rpm.com

Will cost you roughly 17k

Great help, I couldn't thank you enough. Cost is really steap considering there are few other things also like all fluids change, break pads, left new head light, viperblades.
I thought alternator would be arround 10k or so.

Get the alternator checked by a good electrician. When my alternator fried up, an electrician checked it and fixed it for under 4000rs. I had changed the alternator thrice on my old palio, now I have an old alternator refurbished and as good as new, keeping it as a spare in case my alternator goes bad in the future.

Cheap and decent wiper blades are available online. Buy wiper blades here : https://paytm.com/shop/p/autofurnish...O21019B55C4D00

When buying new headlight, make sure you get IJL headlights. Depo ones are trash. There is a much cheaper chinese option as well nowadays.
