Angel eyes for the old beast

Greets!

I mananged to finally get get my hands on a set of angel eyes projector headlights for my old Landcruiser 80.

The low beams are projector type and are great. High beams are regular clear lens but the spread and beam pattern is not too good. I haven't aimed it properly yet (heck, haven't fitted the headlights properly yet) so maybe that is the reason.

I know these doesn't go well with the character of the truck but it's cool, gives better light output than OE and looks 10 years younger!

PS: How does one take good night-time pictures with a point & shoot digital cam? The ones above suck.

Gears,
Red-One.

I couldnt care less about the angel eyes, but damn....your LC rocks! I think the 80 series landcruiser is the best so far. How is it treating you? Any issues in the one year of ownership?

i guess the best way to click from an angle so that the light from the flash doesnt reflect back. best time IMO is at dusk. or you can park your car in a heavily lit area and click without using the flash. me too not good at taking good quality pics. - like someone said, we need an emotion icon for :(

your car definitely looks awsome.

When do we Delhi boys get to see it in real life .. ?

p.s. - where did you source them from?

Thanks GTO. The LC has been just perfect and no problems till date. There was a uneven tyre wear issue but it went away on changing all 4 tyres. Did a couple of long drives into the mountains involving some off-roading. Was a breeze and even though I engaged 4WD, I am not sure it was really required. The excellent wheel articulation (have to see to believe the range of suspension travel) just ensures all 4 tyres are in full contact with the road at all times.

I should probably write an ownership report, when I have clocked a few more K miles.

Dunno Manveet. I am moving back south soon. The OHC has already gone and the current plan is to drive the LC to Chennai mid June.

The lights, bought on ebay and hand carried them from US of A.

Most of the point & shoots have a night mode... you can use that. Since it uses a slow shutter speed, the tiniest shaking of the hand causes blurring.
The solution is to place the camera on a flat surface, get the desired object in the viewfinder and then use the timer to take the photo. No human hands... no shaking - perfect picture

PS: Don't forget to turn off the flash, and ensure there is a little bit of ambient light.

Redone you own a piece of automotive history and if its the VX limited 4.2 turbo diesel with suspension adjustment. Then you're one of the few men who really can go off-roading.Great car and even greater looking with Angel EYES. Keep trailing my friend.
