However their rates will be higher. You can go to any decent car accessory shop in Bangalore and get the Llumar tints with the 2 yr warranty.

I just got a friends Santro done by Auto Fusion koramangala cost me Rs.1600 with a 2yr warranty. Also all the professional installers will make your rear glass film out of one single sheet rather than 3 sheets.
Llumar comes with five year warranty , if they are offering a 2 year warranty then it should be spurious

What should the cost of LLumar, Vkool, Garware, and 3m be?

I was quoted
950-1000 for Garware
1400 for Llumar
4000 for 3m
for 4 windows (50% clear) plus rear (70% clear).

Does that sound right?

And is 3m worth the premium? The dealer said 3m would pay the cost of any challan for 10 years, and he would give a written warranty to that effect.

donna know about the rest of the two but the price given to you for the garware is a little bit on the higher side

i was quoted about 650 for it and a certificate was also given and have a sticker on the front wind screen

This is quite interesting, but I doubt this. Haven't heard anything of this sort here..

Garware is the basic option in terms of price.

I'd say, dont go for the lower end garware. But higher end ones are better VFM, and is still lower priced than 3M and Llumar.

If you go like to like in terms of product lines, V-Kool is better than 3M and Llumar. Between Llumar and 3M, chose the one with better price as long as you can are getting films with same VLT, TSER and IR reduction. Llumar AIR75 is quite popular choice as law-compliant front/back screen film. Competing with it will be 3M CR series (RE is cheaper).

You may get any film amongst the ones listed above - BUT, do this
a) check the film roll cover
b) check the water marks
c) Installer is giving bill and warranty card (with exact name of film model mentioned) and guarantees that in case of problems - air bubbles, halo, fade-out - he will replace free of charge. You can then use this with RTO if caught as well.
c) check references to the installer on the forums
First two for establish genuineness of films. The last one is important as no matter what film you buy, poor installation means repeated trips and lot of heart-burn.

Llumar is fake for sure - no way it comes of 1400 - why dont you call Llumar no from Welcome to LLumar website and check. 3m also sounds a bit less to me. You cannot use CS series - if this is RE on front and side - boy you got a bargain.
