GT TSI about to go Stage2

Hey all!

Been scrolling TeamBhp for two years but this is my first post!

I am moving from Stage1->Stage2 in the next couple of months. Some of your inputs could be valuable, so thanks ahead of time! I'll describe in detail my plans, but first..

...sharing a few pics of my Polo GT:

Yes... I am aware the GTsport logo is totally lame , however, my kiddo likes it so it stays!

This is specifically the 2018 version (6R). I've only logged 17k kms on it (mostly due to the pandemic!)

So to the point:

Current Mods:
- Superchips Stage1 remap
- Magnaflow Cat-back exhaust
- Pipercross OEM replacement filter
- Euro-Spec air intake
- 16" Momo rims / Michellin Pilot Sport 2s
- Arm rest, rear camera

Upcoming Mods:
- Superchips Stage1->Stage2 remap
- TVS stage 2+ DSG remap
- K&N 57s-9505 airbox / filter
- GTI versions of intake air duct (https://boodmo.com/catalog/part-6r0129618d-28494290/)
- Magnaflow Race Cat + downpipe
- DBA T2 rotors and SP Pads

Most of my confusion was with the air intake. I've read reviews on here on the K&N 57s airbox, thanks especially to Suhaas307 and a couple others, can't seem to locate those threads right now. But I did have to convince my friends at N1 racing that this could be the way to go. They were recommending the Pipercross carbon fiber intake, which I wasn't really too kicked about (mostly cause it creates a mess in the hood) However after some discussion, N1 came onboard.

And thanks to this thread:
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-...fications.html .. I am now going further and getting the GTI versions of the air duct https://boodmo.com/catalog/part-6r0129618d-28494290/ and "deflector" https://boodmo.com/catalog/part-6r0129621b-28494296/

I am hoping the above, Euro-spec air intake -> GTI versions of the duct / connector -> K&N 57s-9505 Airbox -> K&N filter is not only sufficient to move to Stage2 but possibly even the best way to go.

What do you think?

Is there anything I am missing?

Thanks very much for the help!
Sagar

Re: GT TSI about to go Stage2

First you should address the weakness of the GT TSI. The stock suspension is too soft and high speed braking isn't too great. Upgrade the suspension and brakes, then move to stage 2.
