I was leafing through the owner's manual forthe Maruti nippon mobile security system (NCS-099) and came across something called the Valet mode. This feature disables all security features and the functions only as keyless entry. It is recommended for situations where your car is being parked by valets. To activate it, the manual asks the user to press the valet button on the remote. But there are only three buttons on my remote, the lock and unlock buttons and the panic button.
Is the panic button the same as the valet button and has anyone tried to activate this mode? If so, has it worked?
Cheers!
The vallet mode is a combination of keys, differs from model to model. I think it is the unlock and panic pressed together. the manual should have more details on the same.
The valet button is the "Alarm" button on the dash. I had the same problem figuring this out in my SX4. Here's how to disable valet mode -
1. Close the door
2. Turn ignition on and then off
3. Keep "Alarm" (valet) button on dash pressed for 3 seconds
4. Siren will chirp once to notify the mode change
Repeat to go back into valet mode...

James bond will not be bothered by the system as he steals(borrows) your car to save the world
I think valet mode is best when handing over the vehicle to those not knowing how to handle the security system
Valet Mode is useful when you are parking your car inside your garage. Else the whole purpose of installing a security system is defeated.
I have Maruti Swift with Nippon NCS-309.
I would like to know valet switch location.
Manual does not say which is valet switch.
Please help.

The valet mode can be put up when the car has to be serviced .
@shrawage: The valet switch is situated on the dash , probably near the fog lamps switch.
Does anyone know a site where I can download a manual for a Nippon Security System for my Alto.
I'm bewildered by these weird security systems when my friends lend me their rides. I prefer a low tech car (maybe fit a GPS tracker when i can afford it :p )
I just got my xenos replace with nippon yesterday.
But the installer did not say anything about the valet feature.
Hello All,
Anyone know where can i find contact details for service for my MGA Nippon Secutiry system Fitted in my Esteem (2003) Model.
I need to get the system checked by someone authorised from Nippon ?
I tried a couple of times this valet mode as per the manual but I failed. Planning one Sunday to explore this.Which seems to be necessary sometimes.Any one has found let you explain the operation. Other wise if I succeed I will post for the benefit of all.
So It disarms the security system?? What the hell!! :D Whats the point?? Im going to give my car to the valet one day and then lock the car from my phone so that the car stops in the middle of the lobby and starts going haywire.....just for kicks. :D
