Hi,

I recently bought the Pioneer DVH-P5850MP car DVD player and the pioneer DVD screen. I would like to connect my iPod 5G to play audio and video on it. Preferably, I would like to use the in-dash DVD player to control the iPod (than using click wheel). My question is do you know of a device/adapter that can let me do this? I searched the web and found CD-IB100 and CD-IB100II. However, none of these seem to be able to play video (though these seem to have good audio and iPod control capabilities).

Any suggestion/inputs will be greatly appreciated.

You are right techie, CD IB100 is not able to play video and i think you cant play video on your hu's screen from ipod but you can play video on ipod's screen and audio via hu.

Mugen Ji is 100 % correct here....

but you can get a ipod audio/vdo cable to give both the output to the Pioneer head but it cannot be controlled by the same.....

DVH-P5850MP doesn't have any front A/V inputs. So, how do I connect the iPod A/V cable to it.

Also, I was going through Pioneer's catalog and came across their newly launched car DVD player DVH-P5950MP. Do you've any information on this? From the site it's not very clear whether it can take both A/V inputs from the front. Here's the link

Lbm, 5950 has 1 Rca Video Input.

Ok Vishal Ji .......Yes it has a VDO in the front also.....
