RPM Meter for WagonR Lxi

I bought Wagon R Lxi which lacks RPM meter. Can I fit the console of Vxi version to the Lxi?

Hi Ravi,

Yes you can but would not recommend it as it would involve a lot of parts, wiring harnesses etc to be changed proving to be a very costly affair. Cheapest and most practical solution would be to fit an after market tachometer.

As viper mentioned why dont you go for an aftermarket tachometer.

Mmm.. Viper and rishibravo@ thank you so much for the reply. Would go for aftermarket tachometer.

One more question:
Is it advisable to put aftermarket tachomter? I am really missing tachometer in my WagonR

This kind of a tacho would cost you around 2500 to 3000 for a 3 and 1/2 inch tacho and around 5000 for a 5 inch one. Plus around 500 bucks installation. Brands like Auto Gauge, Autometer etc are easily available in the market.

Does anyone know how does this aftermarket techometer work?

I believe we can discussion this question in this thread itself as I'm thiking creating a separate thread would be an overkill.

I too would like to know if a warranty will be void on installing an after-market tacho.

And also whether is it is possible to fit this on a Swift LDI diesel. I believe the Swift has a Distributor Less Ignition, which requires some adapter for fixing a tacho.

Any idea where I can buy and get this installed in Bangalore?
