PPF protection for car interiors

PPF for protection of car's paint on the exterior is pretty common now and there are a lot of companies selling the films apart from the well known international brands like Llumar, Xpel, Stek etc.

I went through the websites of quite a few well known brands however except Xpel, no other brand appears to be offering PPF Protection options for the car's interiors.
Link of Xpel's product is given below.

https://www.xpel.com/products/paint-...ior-protection

I searched this forum for the subject as well however , subject to correction, while there is a lot of discussion on PPF for car's exteriors, there is hardly any discussion on PPF options of a car's interior i.e panels, dashboards etc.

Accordingly, I propose this subject for discussion in this esteemed forum on the following aspects:

1) Why is it so that no other famous brand apart from Xpel has considered offering PPF for car's interiors. Has Xpel been able to produce a specialty product which the other brands are yet to crack ( seems unlikely to me ) or is it because it may have niche and very less demand limited only to high end Luxury cars ?

2) Has any of the learned members of this forum used thos product in his car ? If yes, his experiences with regard to the same.

3) Discussion on whether Xpel has any competitors in this segment.

Thank you.

1. Majority of the interior trims are with texture / grains, where effective ppf installation is next to impossible
2. Interiors are subject to very minimal abuse when compared to the exterior. With the lower probability the business case (w.r.t volume) will be negative or non-profitable or it should be priced higher
3. Our control (in maintaining or taking care) on interiors in much higher than the exterior. So we prefer in taking care rather than installing a preventive measure

Though we have the above excuses, ppf is till installed in many car interiors especially where we have piano black trims

re: PPF protection for car interiors

I got my Nexon interior PPFd at 3M SanjayNagar, in 2017. The super gloss surface could get scratched otherwise (2017 old model). They have warned me that this cannot be removed, and if attempted the back paint would come off from the surface. I'm fine with that

Thank you for your response. It appears that 3M has also discontinued the product as I am unable to find the same on its website. Could you please share the product name you installed ?

Re: PPF protection for car interiors

Sorry, I just left the car with them. Didn't go into details, but it has withstood my dog scratching and my kid's shoe marks (with feet placed on the dash)
