Digital HUD like M5

Just came across this: -

Its a digital Heads Up Display which can be put in any car, costs just 7k

Now you neednot buy a Civic for a digital speedo

I saw an led projector type of display which shows reverse distance, front bumper distance, speed and temperature. Costs around 8.5k. It is a small box which projects led light on the windscreen.

Yeah, but heads up safety, that split second can sometimes avert danger!
:P
On a serious note; would have loved the RPM display as well integrated with the speed.

7k for a hud...too pricey and not at all justifiable apart from the bling factor.

A good product to own. But being me, I would not rush to have this installed in my vehicle, but would wait for the prices to drop, as is the case usually seen in ICE and other gadgets.

Why buy imitations, go for the Civic, that's where the real bling is

Though, I would like to have a HUD which projects infra red based night vision on the windscreen for safer night driving. There are few products available in ultra select top end cars, but no after market similar product that I am aware of...

Hey this is nice, but the price is too high for a thing like this.

Besides, me too! I prefer the speedo dial going up faasssst when you accelerate. I feel that you feel the pickup more in the dial version compared to the digital display where only the numbers change and you dont get that feeling of pickup being fast.

When can we lay our hands on something like this which has host of feature.. like speed, tach, fuel, oil pressure, voltage, and temp. You can also adjust its location, move it up and down, and adjust its brightness apparently

One on ebay is
eBay Motors: 99-04 C5 Corvette Z06 HUD Heads Up Display Install Kit (item 190142775086 end time Aug-28-07 17:30:42 PDT)

Another picture i came across was

They nevertheless look cool anyday
