Are u referring to an engine swap here?
If it is increase in performance you are looking for you could do a lot with your current carb setup. Refer to dinars post. You could rejet, get better carbs, etc.It would be a lot cheaper as well.

You mean go for throttle body injection instead of of multi point ?
Where is he going to get this type of a TB ?
Can we get one off the shelf ? Or you are suggesting he should fabricate one ?
First-gen Astras came with one. You could theoretically salvage one of them. Mating it will be less of an issue than fabricating a whole custom throttle body.
Someone on this forum has already done an 8v carb conversion to MPFI. ;)
