Upgrade Thar Steering Wheel

I have a Thar CRDe F/L (2017 model) with the Bolero Type Steering wheel that looks like this

I never particularly liked it much, but aggravation kicked-in when I saw the new bolero steering wheel:

I wished that I could simply swap them. Alas, it appears to be some wishful thinking after all. So far I have managed to find out that while the old steering wheel uses M16 nut below the horn pad, the new one uses just M12 nut. Hence the spline difference exists. The new steering has an air-bag horn cover module and a clockspring underneath the steering wheel like this one:

I would still love to upgrade - firstly, for the better looks and secondly for the steering mounted audio controls. I have figured out how to hook it up to my android head-unit already, so the challenge is just to mount the new steering wheel.

I looked at hub adapter kits (MOMO, SPARCO) but I don't want a sports steering wheel.

Posting here in the poor hope that perhaps someone has already tried it and succeeded. If not, seeking suggestions, hints, or anything that may help me with the swap.

Thanks and have a wonderful day fellas.

Nope, I dropped the idea completely. I thought I would opt for an alternative solution - a bluetooth based remote steering control but decided against that as well. It has, however, not been ticked off my to-do list yet.
