Leather upholstry

Hi. Was planning on getting leather upholstery in a Swift. Any insights into how much this will cost and what options are available?
Need good quality leather - preferably branded – in Delhi.

Not sure abt the brands/shops in delhi, but pure leather seats+door trims+stearing cover+gear cover will cost around 25k!

Leather looks really cool, but will make you feel really hot in summer!

For lower budgets(5k) you can go for Art leather.

Lot of threads on leather upholstery. Give it a search.

Stanley is supposed to be the best. Think Ovion should also be available.

Nappa leather is the top end. Costs around 35K for the swift if you do the interiors as well.

From my experience with OEM leather for more than 6 months, leather does not, repeat for emphasis, does not make it any hotter than any other seat cover. The issue with leather is of course the light beige in my car, which needs some extra looking after to keep it clean. But that would be expected for any lighter shade, leather or not. But, again, good quality leather does not make it hotter. I still use the auto AC at around 26-27C.

Stanley is heard to be good and should be available in Mumbai. Check their website. They advertise a 20000 sq. feet boutique at Andheri East.
:: Welcome to Stanley Boutique ::

@vasudeva,

I read it in some thread only that leather seats feel hotter.
Are you sure that leather seats do not make much of a difference?

Any one in the forum, who has leather seats, coiuld you please share your experiences.

Regards,

Yes, Leather does not get as hot as Art Leather or Rexin. I've been using leather for sometime now and its been pretty good. If you are going to art leather I suggest you get good sunfilm, not the cheap 800rs ones. Something that cuts off UV and heat radiation.

Leather is also easy to maintain. Just wipe the seats with a wet cloth. Nappa is really good, its extremely soft and classy.

Seat Cover for M800 car

Dear All,

I am on the look out for seat cover for my M800 Euro III car. Colour of the car is Carribean Blue. When I have enquired here in cochin I got a quote for Rs. 2200 for Elegant make cotton cover.

Is that cotton cover okay for my car or should I go for artificial leather cover which is also have the same price

Should I get a matching colour of seat cover for my car.

Regards,

For the climate of Cochin, don't go for any leather covers unless you always use AC !

Leather breathes better than art leather.

Guess for Swift it would cost 22k with Stanleys starting range.
