Swift suspension upgrade to diesel setup

All the reviews seem to indicate that the Swift diesel has an improved suspension (especially up front, to cope with the added weight of the oil burner). Does anyone have any idea what sort of changes were made and whether these changes can be replicated in a petrol Swift.

I have a 2005 Zxi. Even the new petrol swifts (drove a brand new Vxi about a month back) seem to have a better suspension. (or maybe softer would be a better way to describe it).

It may be softer in a Diesel

But if you use the Diesel shocks on Pertol version, they are going to get much stiffer - because diesel is heavier than pertol.

Instead get a complete Pedders suspension setup.
Incredible handling at no loss of ride comfort.

But the Pedders are not known to be long lasting like Koni.

Hi V16, this information is a couple of weeks old, & the prices were mentioned with reference to the Lancer's suspension...

The Pedders heavy duty coil springs cost around 14K, but there are other types like Sports-Ryder, Trak-Ryder, & Touring.

The Pedders comfort gas struts with velocity responsive damping, supposedly similar to Koni's FSD, cost around 26K. The sports-ryder struts are around 36K.

I got touring black gas installed in my car for 30.5K recently. However, only 3 struts were available, still waiting for a rear strut to be shipped. I couldn't change to stiffer springs because Pedders do not carry them for my car. Anyways, the new struts do seem to have improved the road holding. Over broken & bad tarmac, the car's very composed now, while previously it would be very nervous & skittish. The struts also seem to have solved front-end vibrations I used to experience while moving off.
