ramki I hope you realize none of these electronics come with warranty. No ways you can test them at the market.

Alloys is a tough thing find and lets say you fine a set what if they are cracked and have been covered off with a coat of chrome or something ? I would rather say, save up and then get new stuff from reliable dealers.

Well I dont recommend any "Sunday Bazaar" because most of the stuff sold there are illegally sourced (for eg. theft items)

No matter you buy anything like electronics accessories and luxury add-on items there but pls dont think of Alloys.
Alloys and Tyres should always be bought from reliable dealers.

You are safe even if your electronic items goes off suddenly on theway but you will definitely not wish the same for your wheels.

In my personal opinion, I prefer everything from an authorised dealer / retailer even if I have to spend a few bucks more.

The fact is 'people go to sunday bazaar to find there missing items' only 10% people go to purchase those. now you don't be one of the 10%...

LOL. Nice way of putting it.

ramki, if you really want Grey market electronic items, you can always go to National market with someone who knows a shopkeeper there.

As far as alloys and important parts are concerned, it is always wiser to buy them from a reliable dealer.

Don't go and buy from Sunday Bazaar.

These kind of Bazaars should be discouraged at T-bhp.

I may not fully agree with you simply because there are many people who may need some components at some point of time which they otherwise may not be affordable outside. We get these items cheaper from these kind of markets. Yes, we should discourage the people from buying the items only to the extent of important components like functional parts...Well, this is my feeling. I'am open for any comments.

If you are looking for some spares of old machineries (like sewing machine, shavers etc. etc.) which is now obsolete, you might source one there. Many Chinese made stuffs also (electronics gadgets like LED torch, CFL, emergency lights etc.) gets sold there which are partially damaged/faulty/DOA at importer or refurbished ones and u might get a cheap deal on them. of course you have to work on them once you bring home to make it working. Do a lot of bargain (20 30% of the quoted price?)

But DO NOT buy anything from there which is critical part of a system.

If at all you want to visit the place, reach there early. Better take an auto or a bike to the place as there is no parking place in the street and is impossible to drive through as well once crowd gathers. But to get an auto back might be a tough job. In case you want to take your car, park the car on the building in front of the abhinaya movie theatre (u have to take first left once you enter chikpet road and again the left will take you to entrance of that multi level parking)

Flea markets are actually good. You might find something there that's interesting and cheap. Nice way to spend some time on a Sunday.

But as others have said don't buy anything from there that you're going to depend upon.

Sundays is supposed to rest day! We need a Saturday market!

Seriously, the things sold at Sunday market are mostly those stolen from other vehicles. We should not be actually encouraging these.
