Thanks Vulken, costing varies a lot, it depends on how much detailing and parts youre goin in for in the interiors and exteriors. Ill give u a tentative eg., PU Coating interior panels in whatever color combination approx 20k.

Can someone specifically point out the advantages of autometer ? Besides of course the fantastic finishing and designs ?? Someone told me that autogauge were at one time making units for autometer... any truth to this ??

Hey s0uljah,

Autometer and Autogauge are owned by the Autometer brand and are manufactured in the US of A. Autometers is their premium brand have better precision and are more expensive compared to the Autogauge line of products. Autometers cost upwards of 12k and Autogauges around 9K onwards.

Be wary of the fact that there is another brand which is 'Autogage' (spelt differently and made half a world away from the US... no points for guessing where) which is quite common and available in most accessory shops for around 3-5k.

The precision bit your proabably right about... obviously you get what you pay for!

But now Im a little more confused.... I was always under the impression AutoGauge was a standalone company based out of Taiwan. My question was did autometer ever outsource to them... http://www.autogauge.com.tw/

Never come across the autogage... and the prices you mentioned for the Autogauges seem to be way off ? Or is it that now even the fakes are being sold with the autogauge tag ?

Ok, Autogage is the lower range of Auto Meter, and Auto Gauge is the Taiwanese company.
