This one beats them all.

A Tata Estate engine in a Premier Padmini!!! And the owner had elongated the front by about a foot to accomodate the Tatas engine.

Why on earth? Its beyond me to understand the logic

Well I had fitted a Mazda 1.6 ltr diesel engine in my Premier Padmini and mated it to a Contessa gearbox. I guess it was one of the only few 5 Speed PPs around. But the car was fast and though being a diesel I used to smoke Esteems and Cielos with it and enjoyed the looks I got

Quite possible. Many of the very old ill-maintained Mercs are supposed to be using the Matador engine. Seen a couple of them for sale in automags.

but the optra being heavier ,the Vtec engine will not be of much help.

and did the suzuki sidekick have a V6 engine.because i just heard abt someone getting a used one for 700$ in australia.so thats abt 700$ more for importing.so at 1400$it will be a steal,as he plans to put it in his Gypsy.
so did the Sidekick ever have a V6engine??????????
