wax coat

Namaskar,
I wanna ask about the Wax Coating done on the body of the car. Generally we park a car in our society where cricket and other sports are played, theres lot of dust, and the car surface gets damaged very easily. I noticed a number of scratches on my bonet today, while I was washing the car. They were not cleared in the wash. And the dust problem is also very prominant in my case.

The Wax Coating is one option that came to my mind. I would like to know whether it is really useful, and worth spending the amount. I would also like to know the charges for such coat (M800) if anyone knows.
