Somebody has stolen my Baleno's both side mirrors.Original SGP mirrors are expensive at Rs 4700 a piece. Is there any other brand available at lower price?

Really sad to hear about the incident. Aren't your OVRM's the power type (electronically adjustable)? Haven't heard of other OVRM brands in India, but heard of them abroad.

Insurance is 50% on plastic and fiber parts,he still would end up paying 5 grand.

A moron driving an Indica just took out my right OVRM today. Just the mirror fell off.. So frustrated with the idiots driving on road, that I didnt even bother to stop and check if the mirror can be retrieved. Probably some other idiot would have probably run over me and the mirror.

Anyway, everything else on the OVRM is in working condition.. including the motor. Any idea where in Pune, can I get just the mirror or a mirror cut to the same size. The left OVRM got changed in Chennai.

PS: I know what Maruti A.S.S is gonna say - "We need to replace the whole thing"... yeah.. right!

buddy, you should have attempted to pick up the fallen piece. the mirror if broken can be made out at local guys. that plastic holder has slots in it which gets locked into the motor assembly. (have doubts if all are interchangeable) contact those small shop guys who repair mirrors and plastics. he will get one from used market place. in Mumbai its Kurla market.

Aren't the mirror curvatures and all specific to the different cars? So then don't u need a different sort for every car?

A friend of mine lost a set of ORVM's of his lancer. They were very expensive if taken from A.S.S. We went to Kashmere gate market. There are shops which sell stolen mirrors and parts. Painted/unpainted all is there. We got a set for 650 Rs and with matching color too.
Try that since you are from delhi.

There are 'local' aftermarket brands who have ORVMs for Maruti Cars. The fit and finish is fine, but the mirror is of no use. Maybe you can buy the ORVMs from outside and get the mirrors from Maruti.

Have you got them replaced. Spare parts thread says the price for just the mirror (not the assembly) is Rs 1,500.

I feel like a blind man without them though.. So used to it that I cant even reverse properly into my parking space at home.
