Sprint Booster

Was browsing around the BMW E60 forum and found this product : eBay Motors: Sprint Booster BDD401A, BMW, Mini Cooper, Auto Trans (item 260216141319 end time Mar-30-08 03:11:19 PDT)

Apparently it works really well. Has anyone heard or tried this in India?

I'm using it on my C230 W204. Working fine, but I'm not a big fan! It has been a week now, and i sometimes get a TPMS malfunction when i press kick-down. I need to figure out why this is happening though. Will use the Star diagnostic after i've driven around 200kms with the SB. It is basically just a signal booster. It boosts the signal sent to the throttle sensor, approx. 30%. So it eliminates the need of going all the way to the floor. Not worth the price to be honest. I just HAD to test it and I'm not really happy because of the constant malfunctions. No-one would like to switch of the engine mid traffic and turn it on again to get the throttle to respond back!

I'd been thinking about it for my W204 C230 as well. Its just a signal booster, so wasn't entirely how it'd work the way the sellers claim. Now since an owner says he has sensor issues, I put in a little more money and maybe get a Kleemann Throttle Box and not worry about niggles.

I have one lying with me which was used on my Laura L&K.
It takea a while to get used to it but is fun.
Will part with it for a decent price.

Re: Sprint Booster

Sorry to be starting up this thread again, but is this anything like the tuning box? would it work alongside a tuning box or a re-map?
