Louder exhaust sound for "DIESEL" swift

How can i get a louder sound on a diesel swift? I contacted automech exhaust and they said the sound could not be changed. Is it true?

yes it can be changed, but is not at all loud! we removed the cat and the end can of a friend's swift diesel and replaced them with a straight pipe. the sound is different and is louder than the stock one, but compared to petrol engines, it is damn silent!

Another option is replacing your stock air fliter with K&N or other external air filters. This gives a solid grunt every time you step on the accelerator.

Search for guys who have cold air filters on their cars and PM them about how it works.

Yeah I have heard them on some cars, they produce a loud noise

Different brands will produce different amount of loudness.

You can contact Blueraven in Bangalore, he has it on his car and will be able to guide you.

You need to get a proper free flow exhaust, my friends DDIS white[in goa itself] has a end can only, but it give a nice sound at high revs, it's not to loud but the sound forces one to keep the right foot down.

I have a Green wind CAI installed in my VDi- makes no difference to the sound. has a great effect on mid and high range performance though.

the palio 1.2 with a CAI sounds very nice.
varies from car to car and with placement of the intake.

we got pipercross's venom CIA kit in Swift LDi. it made no difference in sound but the performance could be felt though.
but i am sure K&N conical air filters will give you good sound when you pep the pedal down.

I too have heard of no noise or less sound in DDIS with FFE or end can modification. It might not be feasible atleast.
