I always had a special space in my heart for cars & jeep since my childhood. I utilize my spare time to create something different, in year 2003 me and my elder brother made 2 door automatic Hard Top convertible car from 1985 Maruti800, we fitted 4 cylinder 1.0 lt petrol engine with five speed gear box. The retractable roof is moved by 12v dc motors and controlled by DC pannle made by us.
In Year 2005 we made this two door car from 1985 Maruti800.This car is fitted with 4cylinder 1000cc engine with five speed gear box, power Brakes. All body parts are made by us from fiber.
So last year we decided to do something with jeep, something different, something not usually seen in India. I came up with this idea. It took us 3month to complete this project. And the result is here.More pictures are available at Flickr: harpaalgill's Photostream

Fantastic effort and results - the rear of the Jeep is a little too bland for my liking though.

Any pictures with the ragtop down?

Great project , harpaalgill !!!

Were you able to retain the 4WD? How is the ride/handling when fully raised?

The front /side view is beautiful : the rear bumper could have been more solid-looking, and the spare wheel could have been retained, I feel.

Do post some off-roading pics of this jeep.

Hi,

Never thought that a Jeep could look so lovely, if I am permitted to use that adjective!

Like the jeep but not that colour theme. It could've been more mean and wild. But ofcourse, it's a personal choice.

What are those 2 pictures at the bottom??

impressive Work to say the least and does the Suspension affect handling in anyway ? I like the color and the wheels. If I may offer a suggestion Why name it the Wrangler? I believe that this is unique and has so much of your efforts in it so name it unique as well ?

A good refined job nonetheless !! Congratulations !!

Wow:Shockked:.

Fruitful efforts harpaalgill. Warm welcome to TBHP.

its an offbeat effort, but a great one nonetheless.clap:

whats the GC with the hydraulics at max?
and can you activate the hydraulics while moving?
any serious reliability problems?

Nice work there mate. Honestly I would have preferred the jeep without the vinyls but then its your choice,to each his own.

This is the look I would have preferred.

OT :
I have seen your jeep on flickr earlier.

Thats some good stuff..effort is appreciated definitely.

Like the hydraulics..especially since all this has been done by yourself

Fantastic effort, but in your spec's could not find AC installed, once AC is installed, then it'll be one really cool vechile.
Brillent idea, would love to have a jeep like this, looks like this jeep can really go any where, as the ground clearnce is adjustable.

Bro why don't ya upgrade it to a 4X4 ??

Please can you post the images of 1 liter engine on 800 bay!! wat extra cutting is needed. I need complete details, if its not too much to ask! :)

Thanks

Great work paaji.

Please post some pics of the converted M800

Good job mate! The first hydraulic lift kit in India that too self made. Keep up the good work!

I have two questions although. Does your present suspension setup allow any normal suspension movements to soak up the road irregularities? And how does the vehicle handle on the roads and especially while taking turns?
