Accessories for my new Baleno!

Hi all,

Finally finalized all the accessories for my new Baleno, due for delivery next week!

Here you go:

1) Alloys: League 14" alloys, hyper-black - Rs. 18,500
(http://www.league.com.tw/show/LG189.htm)

2) Music system:
Pioneer 5750 headunit - Rs. 8000
Pioneer 6990 speakers - Rs. 3900
Pioneer Tweeters - Rs.2400
Sony/Pioneer 4" speakers (can we fit 6 inchers on a Baleno?) - Rs. 1100

3) Lancer spoiler - Rs. 4500 (with painting and fitting)

The prices are those that have been quoted by the dealer; I've not negotiated yet! So please point out the correct (read reasonable) prices of the accessories mentioned above! I'm counting on your expert advice..... And please do give me feedback on my choice of the above.

Thanks in advance,
~Sonic

And to add, I'm not going for a Black Baleno. I know, I know.....it looks hot and all; but the car is going to be used as a family car and Black is really difficult to maintain. So had to choose "Silky Silver"!! Hope the alloys I chose look good on the car. I chose the below model since this is one of the latest models and it also felt pretty strong..

try blue. i got one. very rare. and very cool.

where did you get the system? the rates seem rs 500 over for the bigger items, and a few 100s over on the fronts. yes, you can fit a max of 6" in front. i suggest you get 5", because 4" with 6990s at the back means the rear speakers will overpower you. do let me know how it works out.

also, will the 8-hole wheels survive on the baleno?

prices seem pretty resonable.i think you should give the alloys another thought...and do not get 4" in front cause then when you play music youl hear ur rear a LOt louder than ur front.

Thanks for the advice; I will go in for 6" front speakers!

I'm not sure I understood your comment about the 8-hole wheels? Could you please elaborate on this? I hope there's no problem....

Also, the offset of these wheels is 35. I hope that this is OK for the Baleno. Please do let me know.....

Thanks,
~Sonic

hey sonic,

i'm running stock rims on my ride, so i have no idea about the offset. mine is 0 (obviously)! you need to direct these queries @ iceman91. he's the unofficial baleno god around here!

6" is max. try 5" and see if you like it. also see if you can fit (into your budget) components in front . theyre more expensive but worth it.

i meant that the baleno has only 4 nuts for the rim, and i saw that your alloy had 8, if im not wrong. i was wondering if the pcd matches, and whether the wheel will stay on, as it was originally designed to be fastened with twice the number of nuts you are using.

@lamborghini: dude, trying to get a good cam to take some pics. will do asap!

viper
v1p3r, there is no way on earth that your offset can be 0.
In case you need more info on this, please refer this thread:
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/showth...egative+offset

The stock offset for a Baleno is 38.

And the 8 holes provided for the alloy doesn't mean that it NEEDS 8 nuts!! The 8 holes have been provided so that it can be used for any vehicle, since there is a difference in the way wheels are mounted in different vehicles and also in the no of nuts.

there are 8 cos they are multi pcd rims...generally for honda and ford. cos honda baleno and lancer have the same pcd
and 6 inch components are good if budget suits it. i have 6 inch audiobahn components and they fit in comfortably only the tweeters i needed to drill onto the door pad.

oops

sorry, i meant that my offset is stock. 0 extra offset would be more correct. i do know what offset is, though.

iceman, i didnt know you get multi pcd rims. well, you learn something new everyday!

sonic, i should think that a wheel with 5 nuts will not fit on a baleno, because each hole is evenly spaced, and the baleno has only 4, so the extra one will knock. the same way, i doubt that your rim will fit on any car designed for 5 hole rims. please correct me if i am wrong again!

cheers

viper

ps. send us pics of your ride when it comes

you are right the 5 hole rims CANNOT AND SHOULD NOT be fixed on a 4 hole rotor and vice versa. they are normally found on the bigger cars like skoda accord etc.
you HAVE to buy 100 pcd 4 hole rims for the baleno.
