What color is your car?
I would suggest some good tyres and Alloys as the first step, followed by some minor engine mods to be carried out in phases and then, you can go and get a bodykit from Autopsyche.
I am saying to do all this in phases so that you won't get that bored as when you get bored, you can do something.

i have a pearl white color altura and like engine mods are like ok....rest body kits i have my own setup....but all this is usual was thinking of something really wacky like chopping the roof and do something with it or may be give it a hint of a pick up sort... like still thinking

Please dont do anything like that!! You will ruin the strength and integrity of the car. Do a body kit, Do a nice sounding Exhaust and do a crazy ICE setup. You have lots of space in your boot.

I agree with Cyrus. Please don't convert it into a pickup or a convertible. If you're really that bored with the looks, how about painting the car. You can paint it a bright flaming red, with some nice graphics to boot. That will change the look quite a bit. Maybe spruce up the interiors as well, with some cool leather upholstery. Some wood or chrome tints. Some great sounding ICE. God knows you can do it with the cavernous boot that you have. Let this be a DJ's dream on wheels.

Keep us posted on the changes you eventually do mate. Cheers !!!

try a sunroof if you want.
You can play with head/tail lamps, try smoked variants to contrast pearl white colour of the car. Black alloys with wider tyres would also give different look to the car.

As Cyrus43 says, DON'T chop off the roof. The structural rigidity of the car will get sc&^%ed up! Fabricate a hot bodykit, get some huge alloys and if you must, plonk in a turbo. Desi, sporty wagon!

keep it pearl white. get a nice set of 17s. also put a good body kit. smoke the tail lamps. itll be a stunner. the rear of the altura already looks more pleasing than the baleno.

you could also add a webasto panoramic roof. and a crazy ice setup in the boot.

also dont forget engine mods.

Sorry to put a slight dampner to things but at the end of the day its still gonna be a station wagon so that limits the level of changes that you can do to your ride. But...the good news is that you can still do quite a bit of stuff with it. Most of the recommendations have already been put up.....In addition to the rest you can also try

- A nice Carbon fiber Spoiler (replicas should be fine)
- A nice Carbon fiber hood (replicas should be fine)
- Hood Graphics
- Body Decals
- Scoop on Hood
- Scoop on Roof
- HIDs
- Engine Mods (Dual FFE+Filters+Staged performance enhancements)
- Custom Seats (Recaro replicas are available)
- Custom Interiors (Color coordinated Dash, Steering Wheels, Pedals)
- NOS (Now this is going insane)
- Body Skirts
- Some nice ICE
- HID Fog Lamps on the roof (At least 4) and front bumper (at least 2)
- Blinkers on ORVMs (You get stick on kits on Ebay)

And so the list goes on.....

But of course the key would be having sufficient $ to make all this happen!

Have fun.

Spend some time browsing clubaleno.co.uk . I have seen some neat cars out there which has been tastefully done up. Good luck with the job.
