Stanley units are available at mitsubishi A S S or junk yards. The price is without projectors. check with the A S S for acurate pricing. Mine is a EVO 4 type headlamp, mine are 12k.

Depo lamps for my car are aprox 2k. a complete fron suspension with the steering box overhaul should be within 20k if front struts are to be replaced, else 10-12k

Re: Where to get old Lancer parts?

Hi

@djoel99: I didn't buy the lancer type 2 Invex headlights but I did pick up a pair of after market head lights. Lancer type 1 after market headlights, I have attached a picture of the same.
The set plus the indicators cost me 25200 with postage and handling.

Cheers

Re: Where to get old Lancer parts?

Dear,

Your car look so amazing. Where in mumbai did you got all this done.

Did you import it all by yourself? I have seen some good set of headlight on ebay
Depo Headlight. Want to buy it, But little scared as it is from Taiwan.
And i have never bought any thing from ebay before.

Re: Where to get old Lancer parts?

Hi Guys

So after looking everywhere for the suspension this is what it has come down to.

I looked up the link provided by Amey and many many more. [Thanks Amey]. The website[horsepowerfreaks.com] gave me a quote mentioned below

Front Struts - 150.11 Dollars each = 300.22
Rear Shocks - 110.4 Dollars each = 221.48
Bringing my total to 521.7 Dollars
Postage and handling + Shipping Insurance = $175.50
Bringing the total to - $697.2

But I got in touch with horsepowerfreaks.com via email and they quoted a total of $1063.50. Which is way over my budget.

So the only option I have is the KYB Excel G [Gas charged] suspension. And the only parts available are 333318 333319 341140 which are for the Lancer/Colt/Mirage 97/04 - 00/09 and chassis no: CJ#A, CK#A and CM#A.

The only difference I could find by looking at the KYB catalog is that the parts for the Indian market are tagged "High Ground Clearance Suspension".

And this entire kit [KYB - Excel G] for the rear shocks as well as the front struts are gonna costing me - $416.38 including P&H [This is in my budget]

Or the Indian original OE shocks and struts by Mitsubishi which are oil filled.

PLEASE ADVICE WILL THESE KYB PARTS WORK FOR MY CAR [2000 LANCER GLXI] OR SHOULD I JUST GO WITH THE ORIGINAL OE PARTS

Also can anyone recommend a good workshop to install the suspension and service the car in Mumbai [Someone you have used please].

Aquest auto did agree to do the work initially but later backed out saying they will only do the work if they provide the parts for the car. Which means going with the original suspension parts form the company.

Please advice
Thanks

My car has both rear and front right KYB Gas Charged shocks, and the front left changed to OE Oil filled.

There is no difference. I am looking to change both the front to KYB gas charged ones as there is a slight droop at the front right side(the shock is old).

If you ask me, i would recomend to source parts locally as the experience with online stuff has always been bitter for me espicially with cars.

Depo HL are made in taiwan, its nothing to be scared off, mine are on the car for 4 years now, doing a great job. you need not go to ebay, source it locally, not form A S S

Hi djoel99

Sorry to disappoint but that's not my car[I wish it was mine though]. the picture was sent to me to show the headlights when I ordered them. I got them from a dealer Kerala. If you like I can send you his contact details.

Thanks

Hi Pramod

Thank you so much for your feedback. Will take it in to consideration before I order the parts. But just to confirm will the 333318, 333319 and the 341140 series KYB parts work for the Indian Lancer? Or will I have to modify the parts to fit the car?

ON ANOTHER NOTE
To All Mumbai members: Could any one suggest a good work shop to take my car to. Someone who will be willing to work on it with the parts I source. As the dealership has refused to do so and I don't know a trust worthy and quality assured work shop to get the work done from. PLEASE HELP..

Thanks

G4DJ Engine from hyundai accent is similar to 4G15 from lancer (almost). Can we use parts from this engine? If available.

The 4g15 engine is rebored to create the 1.6 DOHC engine in hyundai, technically a headswap is possible, i am looking for the feasibility as well, however i do not have access to parts. i would appriciate if you can help me with this regard.

Re: Where to get old Lancer parts?

HI All

I am posting after a while now! Life happened.
I wanted to check if the website www.motrpart.in was legit?

I have found quite a few parts on there but am not sure if there are original.
Has anyone used the site or if any feed back on them would be great.

Thanks

Re: Where to get old Lancer parts?

I have bought lancer front bumper, rear bumper & fog lamp from motorpart
they do stock lancer parts which are not on there web sit.

but i would suggest you to go to opera house first. if you dont get any parts from there then second option will be motorparts.
