I am really happy with the performance of my getz Crdi(monster).
But whenever i look into the front wooden console it turns down.

Is it possible to change the wooden console with this following one(silver)?

Yes. I also have a Getz(1.3 Petrol) which has this same horrible finish.
We almost got it changed. You can get it changed. The Hyundai people will do it for the whole car. Front dashboard, window sills, etc....
Cost: 14,000/- !!!!!!!!!
On learning the price, we scrapped the idea altogether.
Take the damn thing out and paint it!! It looks SOOO CRAPPY!!!
If that console is modular and can be pulled out, its not expensive or difficult getting it repainted or putting in a silver console. I had my Swift's center console painted silver the same way.
yes pull it out and spray paint. Dont know how much should it cost may be 3k for real good job. or if you want it coated real carbon fiber send it to Mauto company. It should set you back by 4k.

That's interesting Mag. Can you post some pics and the cost & time involved in this ? Was it done at MASS ?
Yes - it was done at MASS. Pics are there in my Garage.
Seems i was the lucky one here who gought for getting the Black interior :D i paid the full amount of the car and was said that the company have discontinued the Black and giving beige,I argued, the argued that its not possible,I said i am cancelling my deal and making a stop payment of the cheque ive given to you,I'll buy another car, till thne they asked me for a days time, and ommph..!!! they agreed to black :)

Whats mauto company?
Is it not a snap-fit piece of plastic that simply clips onto the dash itself? If so and if it bears a Hyundai part number, can't it be replaced by the petrol Getz's one?
I find it hard to believe that it is not modular. Alternatively spray paint it.
I can't stomach that awful fake wood look either!
I Agree, The Wooden Thing looks Horrible. I am gonna apply a CF look-a-like sticker on it. Will post the pics as soon as its done.

Am sure it is modular. Painting is definitely an option - I painted some parts of my Lancer dashboard silver. Goes well with the grey/black dash colour (got this painted too). See my gallery... there is a picture there.
Else, it should be replaceable with the older Getz's silver/aluminium coloured one, provided Hyundai kept the dimensions same. This
should be available with Hyundai A.S.S, or maybe a local parts store (that deals in new parts as well as parts from wrecked cars).
Is the central console the only part that has the wooden finish? Or do the side AC vents, door handles etc also come in that trim? If it's the latter, then the other parts would also need painting/replacing, else you'll end up with a mix'n'match situation that would look weird.
Also, has anyone tried matching the central console in the (older) silver trim with the beige coloured dash? May or may not complement each other.

Me neither.
i think with the beige dash if you paint the central console and glossy black it will look quite nice. not so sure about the old getz silver matching with the beige.
Here's a low cost idea or the Getz fake wood issue.
1. It is just a faux wood applique so pull it off the plastic(fibre base).
2. Or don't even pull it off. Just take your car to a "stickering shop" any one of those auto graphics or number plate guys. They will paste the non-radium silver sticker wherever you want them to and cut it really neat so it will look OEM finish and will stay on for ages.
Shouldn't cost you more than a 500rupees at the max. The finish should impress you and it is wipeable etc. What's more, it is not permament so you could take it all off in a minute if you do not like the look. Try it, we Indica owners know all VFM methods. :)
I got the fake wood done on my dash and it looks cool - the autographics kit it a shade darker and looks so real that only those who know, well... know.
