2lac+ kilometers m800 engine rebuild project.

Guys,

I landed up in trouble with my 1999 M800AC last week. Bought her last year for my railway station to office commute and did regular service twice since then. car was a breeze to drive except the bad rear suspensions.

She showed a sudden loss of power and literally struggled to reach the railway station parking lot last Wednesday. I called up Sai Service who is the nearest M.A.S.S in Kochi Thripunithra. They tried all basic checking but of no use and hence towed her to workshop last Thursday.

Today when I visited the workshop, I got the shock of my life that the engine's compression is bad and needs overhaul. They did check the electrical side as well as carburators etc before compression check. High-level cost looks INR 9K if minor work after opening up. Complete overhaul can cost INR 30K as per them. This is my daily 10KM commuter but still worried if its worth the investment considering I would let her go in another year or so when I relocate.
