How does your car smell
(
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modifications-accessories/4894-how-does-your-car-smell-6.html)
Id purchased a few when I was abroad but if my memory serves me correct they were officially launched in 2006 here in India.
Try accessory shops.
I will try. I remember seeing some other freshener in Reliance Fresh, Mysore apart from Ambipur. Need to check it out.

Is Ambipur supposed to make a car smell like an Ambassador?

My car smells of a mix of cigarettes and ambipur.

You are weird, but understandable. Whiskey lovers will appreciate that. I'll give it a try & see how wicked it can get. Yes, the alcohol can also kill the germs I guess. :D

No like an Amby thats pure.
I recently got a car air freshener (Credit card points redeemed!)
The bottle has perfume liquid in it and has a slot on top to keep it open and shut. What I wish to know is, should it be kept open always or keep it open only as and when needed i.e. when you are in the car
Normally what's the life of such fresheners..this one has about 100 ml of liquid.
Thanks,

Normally air freshener are fitted with AC vents so they mostly become operational when AC starts. For bottle one it can be remained opened but you need to check what level of aroma is fine for you. If you feel it is too high close it may be in night etc.
AFAIK 100ml will last atleast 2.5 to 3 months
I tried room freshener spray in car. Result wasn't as expected - both Windows up & down. I couldn't make out why a room freshener doesn't work in a car.

Try spraying it near the Ac vents after you Switch on the Ac. Will work..
If I left my car unused for a few days - the car inside smells stagnant although I have a Ambipur installed at the max setting (although I don't like the smell). I tried spraying room fresheners also but no result.
I need some solution so that I don't face the stagnant and stale air smell when I open my car door in the morning after a few days.
Any suggestion?
Strange to read so many problems and so many solutions for the smell problem. We just keep the car clean... especially no eating allowed inside. Never had a smell problem in 6 - 7 years; even if the car is unused for few days.
I don't use fragrances/air purifiers etc, as I'm very allergic to most of them... and dont like the smell of most of them either.
There is no substitute to cleanliness. All other solutions are bogus... :D
My car permanently smells of my cologne since I use one every single day.
I have 4-5 small wooden fragrance balls (Green Apple) that I picked up from Dubai. They do not have too much left, but good thing is that they smell of my cologne too now :D
I use an air freshner that can be attached to AC vents (Ambi* something) & the Spray atleast once a week. The air freshner thing often falls off when attached to the side vents during Ingress & Outgress and obstructs Music system usage when attached to the center vents. Have replaced many of them already :)
Car interiors are cleaned/washed once a month when I service it at the ASC.
there is some sack like thing you get at aurbindo ashram at pondy. Its the best i have seen so far
