Iridium spark plugs

Guys,
Where in Bangalore can i get Iridium spark plugs and better wires for the plugs? Rats have stripped a couple of cables leading to the spark plugs in my car. How much would a NGK/DENSO plug cost if available??Does it come with any warranty? appreciate any help on this.
thanks,
-shaz

hey i am a performance parts stockist here in mumbai...i'm sure since i can source them out in mumbai there must be a lot of ditributors there in bangalore for performance plugs...well NGK and SPLITFIRE are really good...you can also go in for MSD Ignition if your budget lets you do that..and also use high density igntion wires from Splitifre or MSD Ignition..i Stock splitfire plugs for 3,200 for a set of 4..and ignition wires from Splitfire for 6,000 with the rubber head bolts and the copper plates and entire mounting...so do pm me if you need any help or info...cheers...!!

dont think you need iridium plugs unleess you have high performance engines. a good set of platinums are more than sufficient.
but if you still insist on it. anil has a set with him. or else dom can get a set for you.

I looked it up and this is what I found

Iridium is a precious metal that is 6 times harder and 8 times stronger than platinum, it has a 1,200=F higher melting point than platinum and conducts electricity better. This makes it possible to create the finest wire center electrode ever. Prior till now, spark plug manufacturers have favored platinum for their long life or performance spark plugs due to its high melting point, also the technology did not exist to machine and bond iridium on a spark plug electrode(at least in a cost effective manner). Champion spark plugs had already made an iridium industrial application spark plug, but it still sells for over a hundred dollars per plug. Just now is the technology available to effectively use iridium in a spark plug for automotive applications. The strength, hardness and high melting point of iridium make it very well suited for a fine wire plug. The primary iridium plug manufacturers at this time are Denso with a 0.4mm center electrode and NGK with a 0.7mm center electrode. Both are the best performance plugs on the market for traditional automotive use and many racing applications.
SIDENOTE: Thus far the tech's we have spoken with report no problems using iridium plugs with Nitrous.

Hi!
I have a Accent GLS 1.3 SOHC and want to improve the performance of it. I was thinking I will do the following:-
1. Use Iridium sparkplugs from OWS.
2. Already have a K&N stock replacement filter.
3. Use a 32-bit ECU instead of the 16-bit one.
4. Use Magnocore KW8.5 spark plug wires.
5. Use a 4-2-1 Header.
6. Use a performance muffler.
7. Use front & rear struct bars etc.

Pls correct me where wrong. Can you pls help me in upgrading the performance of my accent. I am in Bangalore.

My brakes are lousy:
Need to use DBS GOLD rotors with original brake pads. Nearly killed myself doing 170 once.

Hey Buddy,

Good plans. I dont think you will find any marked improvement in performance by fitting the plugs and wires. A conical K&N with a nice intake will work better than the OE replacement. Exhaust + Muffler will give you 8-10% power and strut braces will definitely improve your handling especially high speed cornering.

Cannot comment on the ECU but you would be better of with a stand alone fuel management or get a piggy back computer and have your existing ecm remapped. Try Dominic in Banglore for the same.
