1997 OHC Type 1 Mods - Pl advice

Hi

Please suggest mods for a 1997 OHC type 1, done 80k (location- Chennai). Budget is 1 lakh Rs. Mods being contemplated....

K&N typhoon filter
Automech exhaust
Iridium plugs

Vehicle will be used as a primary car. Prefer mid range and bottom end performance. Would like to retain originality of the engine.

Please advice.

I didn't know they were selling OHC's in 1997?

Bolt on Greddy headers with a stright pipe and a HKS/Remus/magnaflow muffler.(~18k for the headers,~14-15k for the muffler)
K&N will definately help things.(~8-10k)
Iridiums are pretty much useless.
You could go in for a racedynamics ecu and have it optimised for your driving style.Heard theres a new one out,for around 17k for a NA car.Not too sure.
Some decent brake pads.Check if your suspension is in good shape.
