AC servicing in Bangalore

Hi all

I am not sure if this is the right place for this thread but anyways, here goes...

Couple of days back when i switched on my car's AC (it was after a long time), i found the cooling to be very slow and very low. I say low in the sense that the air coming out of the vents was not much cold. I tried today also and noticed the same thing today as well.

I guess its time to get the car's AC serviced.

Does anyone know any good AC servicing shop in Bangalore?

Also, if i go to the mechanic and tell him to service the ac, will that be enough? What all specific things can i ask that person to check?

All and any help appreciated.

Cheers
Amitoj

Ask him to check the refrigerant, check to see if the compressor belt isn't slipping, make sure the clutch is properly engaging when the A/C is switched on.

Our Esteem had a problem where in the A/C wouldn't switch off when the cabin got cool enuf which can also cause the compressor to fail, reducing cooling. But, i don't think your car has this problem since it happens the moment you start.

The compressor runs on engine power. The compressor belt/pulley is connected to the engine and increases it's rpm with increase in engine rpm (something like a supercharger). The compressor won't even start if the engine is switched off.

I've been watching my cars compressor work (at the garage) for the past few weeks. LOL

Ther's knowledge available everywhere, it's it? Hehe

check up the battery's condition... if that seems ok... have your charging system checked with load.

cheers

Re: AC servicing in Bangalore

My Esteem's AC has gone very weak in the last couple of months.
I suspect a gas leak, I would also want to check for any disconnect in the cooling pipe to the vents.
Any suggestion on good AC mechanics in and around Indira Nagar, Bangalore?

It's in Old madras Road near Ulsoor lake. Once you cross BDA complex to your left and the road turn right twds the Ulsoor lake (and RMZ Philips building) keep a look out to your left. Its a small shop. Forgot the name. Car Cool to Cool Ac. I have gone there twice. Happy with their service

Thanks alot for the help, It seems that the entire pipe (which runs above the radiator) is leaking and there is oil sprayed out from several parts of the pipe.
So I need to get the rubber pipes replaced before doing a refill.

Re: AC servicing in Bangalore

Any idea if this Car Cool place near Ulsoor Lake still exists?

Need to check my 2005 Swifts lack of cooling which surprisingly the MASS hasnt been able to solve since long.

Any other good AC repair shops in the same area?
Inputs would be helpful.

Thanks

Re: AC servicing in Bangalore

I need to get AC serviced as the cooling has reduced after close to 6 years. I stay at Marathahalli. Any good shops near Marathahalli, HSR, Indira Nagar etc?

I would recommend this place in Ulsoor on the way to the lake from Indiranagar bus depot. It is called Cool tech and did a good job on my 2005 Swift last year for a failed AC Coil replacement.

The shop is located on the cross that connects Old Madras road to CMH road. Easier way to locate is to Google map this address,
Watertech Consultant, Bangalore, Karnataka
The location of this shop is right next to this address.
