Help - What Mods for Skoda within 12k?

Guys i want to gift my friend something for his birthday. And so i thought I'd gift him few parts for his car. He owns a 2006 Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI Rider.
My budget is 10,000 to 12,000.
I browsed through SKODA TUNING SHOP for Octavia, Octavia II, Fabia, Roomster, Superb, Felicia : Skoda Tuning = superskoda.com and found a lot of things he might like. Am not sure few things in it would be compatible with his model.
And i would like to know -

Actuator - Pete's Automotive Products Pvt Limited

1. What is the use of a Actuator
2. Is it compatible with my friends car
3. Will the engine be able to withstand the boost
4. Will there be any problems after the fitting

Neuspeed Short shift kit - Pete's Automotive Products Pvt Limited

1. How much would this cost??

Along with these am zeroed down a few interior small parts which he would love.

please check the links

1. This says its compatible only with the facelift model. Can i get him this

Skoda Octavia 1,9 TDi 01-07 facelift - plasma dashboard gauges RW-A : Skoda Tuning = superskoda.com

2. Special edition L&K Chrome Door pins
3. The RS pedal set

I don't want to change the look of the car. He already has a RS bumper and K&N air filter.

Help me out guys. And if u guys have any alternative idea do let me know.

ciao

if you don't want to change the look of the car then

Pick any

- petes box (around 18k i guess)
- shell synthetic oil (6k)
- MP3 player (depends)
- HIDs (15k)
- Autocop (4-5k)
- Front windshield transparent sunfilm from v-cool (3-4k)
- free service coupon
- EBC performance brake pads (10k)
- Hydraulic jack(800).
- Electric Air pump (600)
and finally team-bhp sticker.

Some of them are more than your budget.

He should really be lucky to have you as a friend, Time to check who are all my best friends.

Green filter from Pete's would suit your budget. You could also search the TBHP Classifieds for used Pete's Tuning boxes.

Raj, Thats a neat list there. Nice options.

Mithun, get another friend to pool in and just get a Petes tuning box. As you can see Raj has that as #1 on his list. He will also vouch for it in his sleep. Check his thread for details.

Also, I wish I had friends like you. Add me on orkut/facebook? (wait I dont use one of those)

@raj - Thanks for the list. Will surely go through it. I found out about the petes tuning box. It comes somewhere around 32k.

And by the way, am not getting him all these. His "GIRLFRIEND" is.
She tried registering in team-bhp about 10times. I guess girls aren't allowed here.

So she asked me help to get some information. You guys should wish for a girlfriend like her. Last year she gave him K&N air filter.

And guys Please give me more information on the Actuator. She's set her heart on it.

My Elantra's petes box is around 18k so i thought it would be in the same price range.

1) There are Ladies on the Forum, maybe not as active as the boys. And I am sure we need more of them on the Forum.

2) Many of us cannot be slotted in the wishing category.

Why the huge price difference in models?

Wow, a very comprehensive list there. The above would be my recommendations.

Yes. stickers are very important.

Maybe get K&N stickers also. Some members here have reported an increase of 20 BHP by that stickers alone.

thanks for clarifying the girlfriend bit. for a minute i thought i am stuck with all useless friends who never think of such nice things!

ICE related stuff will be a good choice. performance upgrades without thinking through the implications is not a good idea.

Tuning boxes for diesel are by PSI MOTORSPORTS.
Green storm filters and a TBHP sticker set will be a good choice.
