Lights similar to "KIIT" Knight Rider car

Hi guys,
have you seen the new serial featuring the latest version of the good old Knight Rider car "KIT".
can anyone guide me as how can we have the same effect as that of the animated red LEDs in that car?
I am going to try it on my esteem.
please visit welcome to knight rider online for the cars pictures and the lights i am talking about.

regards
vikram

its KITT, with a double T - however the lights might attract the wrong kind of attention.

the old style KITT lights can be accomplished with some TTL IC's and a few red LED's.

the new style KITT lights are far more complex, need a lot more LED's , and possibly a microcontroller.
