for ice too, go to a recommended place. tell us your area we can tell you a good place close by.

believe me youll be ready for petes long before a year, the temptation for 30 extra bhp is too much.
I am in Bangalore.I am looking for immediate replacement of stock tyres (and alloys if budget permits) and head lamps.

I'm having a conflict between Optra or Linea. Not yet decided.
No-way price will not increase keeping Cruz in mind. Might be they may not give any discounts for first few months, later GM will become customer centric
Wait for few more months it will be priced in between Verna,Linea & others.
Earlier(Aug) the price of top model LT with ACC was 11.98 on road B'lore. Now the price is 10.5L.

Buying a Optra at this time is a risky proposition keeping in mind Chevrolet india's marketing tactics. Cruze will definitely eat Optra top end variant's sales so in order to keep Optra in production Chevy can drop the prices or may introduce some more lucrative deal.

Hmm. Cruze base model currently sells at 13.5L on road in bangalore. I had a colleague who got it a year and half back at 11.2. There has not been a considerable as far as I know. I have been tracking optra prices since Linea launch and there is not a significant drop. I do agree to the fact that cruze prices may drop by a lakh if i wait for an year. But i still feel optra is an excellent VFM.
P.S. I didnt like cruze drive. It has got marvellous interiors but not as much space as optra has. Also cruze is a pain in bumper to bumper traffic. Purely my personal views though.

Petes is a tuning box. It gives you more power should cost close to 30k. Since you are in bangalore the rd ecu will be a better option. But i would complete atleast 10k kms before i get one of these.
Please post a budget that you have in mind for the mods.
Try and get the dealer to give the maintainence pack as a freebie.
Your mods according to me should be in this order of priority.
1) Mats, mudflaps, film, parking sensors etc.
2) Tyres- change these as soon as you get the car so that you can get a better price for your stock tyres.
3)ICE- Options are unlimited. Please visit the ICE section for this
4)Air filter and tuning box - do this after a year or 10kms

My priorities are in the same order too
By maintenance pack, did you mean the 21k for free service?

Well honestly if you ask me everyone has their pros and cons, petes are the best in the country but i have seen skodas with the kit conking off and having issues. kiirus is relatively newer in the market and is slowly but steadily making a market for himself, hes pretty good i must say. i say give kiirus a shot.

ive not heard of superchips much. but as far as petes goes his product is throroughly tested and you can expect it to be reliable. also his customer service is by far the best. in term of reliability ive had petes on my innova for about 48k kms now without a single problem.

Cheers
The stock tyres that come with this model is 195/60 R15. Would 205/55 R15 make that much of a difference? I have to check on how much extra i need to pay
Also wouldnt this reduce the already low ground clearance?
