Where to get fuel (lid /cap) stickers to Avoid confusion at Fuel Station?

I am worried about the prospect of fuel-station fellows filling up my car with the wrong kind of fuel by accident. Once that happens, I know I will be in for an expensive overhauling of the car.

So, where to get these "Petrol" or "Diesel" stickers (more particularly in Hyderabad) for pasting them on the fuel tank lid? Does the Team-BHP Store have any of these stickers?

In general, would they improve the situation in any way? Has anybody thought of getting them custom-made in the local language, with Cafepress.com or Zazzle.com?

Your cars should have the Petrol/Diesel label inside the fuel tank lid cover.

If you still need another one, go to any number-plate / sticker-wala and get one in a color that will be visible & will stand out against the color of your car.

You can get them for free from Shell fuel stations.

Do you really believe this stickers are read by the petrol pumps attendants. Best to stand on the top of their heads and get the correct fuel filled - this is the only sureshot way of avoiding confusion.

I know we get shell stickers but in no way we can distinguish between diesel and petrol. There are no different stickers for shell Diesel and Petrol. There is only the company logo. Correct me if I am wrong.

AFAIK, companies do stick diesel or petrol inside the lid of the fuel cap.
I know TATA messes it up. My cousin bought a petrol Indica with a Diesel sticker on the cap. Both, the attendant and my cousin were confused.

Ask your car dealer, or as suggested, get it done from the sticker guy. Make sure you have it written in local language as well.

You mentioned Bangalore. Check out J C Road shops. You'll get plenty there.

I've seen cars with stickers of Shell Unleaded and Shell Super Unleaded. So I assume they'll also have something for Diesel.
Also the 2 stickers for each variety of petrol from Shell were of different colors.
Maybe the color of the stickers would be helpful for the attendants.

As suggested by many, Go to a sticker shop where they design stickers for license plates and make sure you stick the sticker right above the Fuel lid and NOT on the fuel lid, Many people stick it on the fuel lid which cant be seen when the lid is opened.

This calls for a small tbhp sticker that says Petrol or Diesel to be added to the collection!

Any sticker guy should be able to help you out.
If they don't have a sticker, then just stick a large P or D on the lid.

I got this:

Just designed a sticker, using www.zazzle.com's design feature. I have put the words, "PETROL ONLY!" in the centre of a round white sticker, and a fuel-station icon below the words. It is a simple black & white sticker, and the delivery is expected in few days. Will post an image once the product is delivered.

Saw a fluorescent yellow coloured, diamond shapped sticker with the words, "Caution! Petrol Vehicle!!", but did not quite like it!

I guess we can all get little creative with these ones!

Attendants? I guess only Shell attendants. Others from other bunk will not have an idea what those stand for.
